I have no respect for "eloquent" speakers.
 

And by eloquent I mean articulate. Most of these people can't write worth a damn. I'm supposed to impressed because Mr. Senator can read Times New Roman? Give me a break. The next time you see somebody get on a podium and do a good job at a wingtastic, straight-from-the-hip speech, don't boo them, commend them. Just like you shouldn't laugh at a guy with a funky accent because it means they could speak two languages you shouldn't make fun of an average speaker who at least tries. This type of erson at least gives a damn and just doesn't have their underlings do all the work.
