Elums

k...
what is the reproductive model of Elums?
and
do they give birth or lay eggs?

General Drippik 08-19-2001 09:48 PM

Uhhh, I'm afraid I don't know that1...

Oddsville 08-19-2001 10:00 PM

I don't know either but Im sure Max the Mug knows...

Danny 08-19-2001 11:22 PM

eggs i expect.

RoN_Rancor 08-20-2001 01:13 AM

I always thought that elums were mammals. So I would guess live.

Danny 08-20-2001 01:25 AM

well, we don't know of any other oddworld creatures who give birth to live young, so i'd say eggs.

Wil 08-20-2001 07:29 AM

Alas, I have no way of knowing either. My best guess would be eggs, but I like to think that they might actually be marsupials.

Or, of course, there could just be the Elum Queen, which would most likely suggest eggs.

Gluk Schmuck 08-20-2001 08:51 AM

so Max the Mug's best is a guess...
there is no spoon!
ALF, where are you?

*smacks head repeatedly*
*eats pencil*
mmmmmmmmmmm
*eats another pencil*

i think it would be unimaginative to have every species on oddworld to reproduce from a queen. what if they rreproduced like bacteria do? that would be cool.

ODDBODD 08-21-2001 08:09 AM

so you saying that nearly all creatures of oddworld have queens?

How doushed up is that. cant they just give birth and getcha freak on like normal creatures. That means that one lucky bastich gets the booty while all the others have to turn to *ahem* the other way! Or get sliced by the glukks.

I thi8nk that elums lay eggs because they have that little thingy that dinos do!

Gluk Schmuck 08-21-2001 09:08 AM

what little thingy?

Lampion 08-21-2001 12:07 PM

It is called cloaca, and not only dinosaurs have it, birds and reptiles have too. It's the organ from where these animals eliminate excrements and lay eggs. You could think of an anus, plus reproductive capabilities(yes, everything goes in and out through only one hole...)

You took the words right out of my mouth Lampion! haha. Elum is obviously a reptilian creature, though it is possible he is a mammal. Almost all reptiles lay eggs and leave them to hatch by themselves...usually heated by the sun. Thats my guess with Elums.
