Attrocities in Sudan

http://www.ushmm.org/conscience/sudan/sudan.php If there was ever a time that a country needed to be stopped (much more so than Iraq) it would be Sudan. What sickens me most is the lack of interest the world media has shown about it. They do an article here and there every couple years, but they would rather show people articles about some suicide bomber in Israel than a ****in genocide. Since 1983 this shit has been going on and NO ONE has come to the aid of Sudan, be it America, Europe, or even other Africans. I know most of you are opposed to war but i ask you this: regardless of who is elected Prestident of the US, do you believe that after Iraq is settled that they, along with some europeans maybe, should liberate the South Sudanese? Its not a question whether Americans are trigger happy egotistical war mongers or if they think they're the "world police", but a question of whether these people who have been going through hell for 20 years deserve someone to finally throw a glance at the peril theyre in, and step in and stop the extremist Islamic gov't of Sudan. |
Holy. Shit.
i knew there was alot going on in Sudan, but i didnt think it was this bad. I think we should send in some peace keepers for now, maybe a few special forces if they dont like it. I dont think anyone wants another war. |
Sudan is Hell on earth, and if ever a "regime change" needed to occur, its in Sudan, dammit. But because there are no religious controversies or "long-standing American interests" we don't care. If Sudan was sitting on a river of oil like most of the sand dunes the military ****s around in, we'd be there quicker than you can say misunderestimate.
Precisely. I really believe we should do something there. perhaps remove all forces from korea and go to Sudan. I personally believe Sudan to be a much bigger problem, especially for the moment...
then again. The US thinks its policing the world. So they'll porbably go in without NATO agreement again.
I dont think they will go in, because it isnt a direct threat to the US due to its lack of WMD's.
"America". "American". I know none of you three intend for that to be insulting, but it does seem to be when America represents several hundred million people, giving a large variety of views and opinions.
America cannot be generalized by the choices the government makes. Every country has their bad spots in history. The war in Iraq is just one of ours. Jeebus. |
*bump* this has sure fallen far quickly.
thats a very good point Majic, you've made me rethink my ways.
SILENCE MAJIC! ah a genocide, more souls for my evergrowing army of the undead...... :fuzvamp:
