What's the best RPG ever created?

Hi.

I play a lot of RPG on my spare time, and I have my plans of joining the OW RPG but I'm not quite sure yet. And there are a many different RPG's that you can play. There are PC RPG's and RPG's on a piece of paper and a several dices, I think it's called "Dice RPG", I'm not sure, but you have dices, piece of paper, on which your character is. I play alot of PC RPG's because, me and my friends don't have much time playing dice-RPG, but forget it. The RPG's I play on my computer is:

*Icewind Dale
*Baldur's Gate (Just a little)
*Planescape Torment
*Diablo 1, Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction
*Warlords Battlecry 2
*Harbinger

And that's it. And I think that Torment is the best, because you can create your own future. What's your opinion?

I personally would say Fallout 1 & 2, but they are on a par with Planescape. These are all proper RPG's that allow you to shape the game world how you see fit, unlike some RPG's *cough* Final Fantasy *uncough* which force you to go along a set route, with the odd choice.

My favorites are the legend of zelda link to the past and the ocarina of time.

*glares at Hobo* Oh well, each to their own. ;)

My favorite is FFVII. I really enjoyed the battle system and game play, as well as interesting characters and a storyline that keeps you interested the whole game through. Plus Sephiroth is in there!!! :D Although I really wasn't a fan of him when I first became a fan of this game.

I also really like FFX and Vagrant Story. And for something a little different, Diablo 2.

I don't like these sorts either, personally.
My favourite rpg is Morrowind by faaar, but second to that is the ocarina of time (zelda).

My RPG expirience extends to Pokemon and Morrowind. So I s'pose that means those are my favorites. Because I don't have anything to compare them to. Or something. Right? Am I right?!?! God damn you people. Always questioning my ways. Just go to hell and leave me alone.

Final Fantasy: sux0r

yeah...

Deus Ex has to be my favorite. Your on a set route, but you do things the way you want to get them done.

Super Mario RPG.

Morrowind is the best RPG ever... I nevver thought that there would ever exist such a game. But it's great, and the storyline is very good. But the best thing about it is that you can do what you want i this game. If you get tired of the mainquest, you can always do a favour for a someone lost in the forest, of just discover the land. I would recomend MORROWIND... But it has a lot of bugs :(

I actually have enjoyed playing some of the final fantasy games them, being: a ROM of III, VII and IX. I just do think that the plots are on rails and that limits the Role playing of a role playing game.

Strange, some of you mention games I haven't heard of. That's....quite...fun. I guess. But maybe that's because I'm swedish, I'm all busy walking around and freeze in the woods.
