O.K, I will be running the 2AOFPA soon. Now I just need a bit of help on things. First of I'm wondering if any of you guys can think of any new categories? At the moment we have:

So can you guys think of anything else that could be included?

Next is probably the most important thing. And that is Should I hold them just now? Now most times I wouldn't even worry about this. But because of all of the forum slowness, it may take a while before the members come back. But then again, an important event like this may just bring back the masses. So please can I have your input on this?

And thirdly, can I have a few people to volunteer their username so I can use them in the awards. I like to have a little sketch at the start of them and by using members’ names, it just adds a bit of fun to them.

I can't really think of any more good titles to add, right now at least. I'll probably think of something right as I'm going to bed. Then, just as quick as it hit me, it'll disspear from the depths of my disorganized hellish mind and be lost for eternity.

I swear... I've probably thought of at least 4 cures for cancer, 2 solutions for national debt, and 7 ways to end world hunger, yet forgotten each and every single one of them. Thus, further proving that I will some day be the world's savior once I learn to use sticky notes.

To the next subject at hand; when to hold them? In all seriousness, I'd have to say wait until a Friday. That's when people will more than likely be able to see it and have enough time to get their answers together. I definately wouldn't do it this Friday, so that people have time to post their ideas and opinions. Next Friday might work out if enough people are interested.

Off to bed for me now. I took my shower, had my strong peppermint tea, worked for 4 hours on a familial hypercholesterolemia poster for biology despite the fact its been assigned for a week and a half, and now I'm tired and want to go to bed. Leave me along, people. I'm dangerous...

It seems that everyone took some of the ideas I was going to post. Oh well, I think we should wait on starting voting maybe until like next month, or atleast a couple weeks. I guess theres no particular reason why, but just a suggestion. :fuzsmile:

Yeah, I agree with Al. Wait a week or two until most of the people come back... that way you can have some time to prepare for it or whatever.

The way this works is that when voting time comes along, everyone nominates a person for each award. If you can't think of someoen, then no sweat. Votes were cast in a topic last time, I think... May be done by pm this year though. I don't know exactly how Wolfpac has it planned.

3). Thank You guys for your help with new Topics... But I think I might have to reject a lot of them sorry. You see, while I'm not a very serious poster, I like to at least try to keep these awards serious. So if I added topic like "Member who is most likely to kidnap Abe Babe and take over the Forums" then it would sort of cheapen the awards. But what I would like to see is a member to start a sort of Splinter awards where you can put the original awards that I rejected plus then some and have a really funny thread. But anyway I'll go thorough each suggestion and give a reason as to why it's in or not.

Well Thanks Guys, and keep the suggestions coming. And I'll hold the awards in about 2 weeks. So what, today's the 28th. Well that means that I'll start them between the 11th - 13th of February

I understand what you mean about making these awards as insult free as possible. Thanks for using at least one of my ideas. Oh, and about the banner award idea. You could turn it into Best Banner Creator. That way it would be fair. I think SS, RavenMM, etc...would be nominated for this.

Though I'm not Wolfpac, that may be a bit hard to judge. not every is sure who made who's banner, a bit subjective, and some people may tilt towards the side of whoever made their banner.

Hmmmm, good point. Well, the sig makers could submit one of their best banners and we could choose from that. They could be Poster Award banners. And...which member made which banner would not be disclosed. That way it's fair. All we would have to do is choose A, B or C.

Oddguy I already know that I am not appreciated at this forum. Thankfully there are many others that do appreciate me. These forums will not be named to prevent OWF contamination.

Anyway, if this thing goes ahead, and makes a big deal out of the "losers", it will just rub salt into open wounds. I put up with most you people hating me enough as it is, I don't need more things to put up with, and salt in an open wound is more things to put up with. Especially when the entire forum comes together to make it so.

I'm sorry, but you people don't give me alot of choice. You barely make it worth my while to stay at all. Let alone stay just to read. I work myself increadibly hard to keep a steady flow of content, to put up with the hateful atmosphere, and to put up with all the arguments - including putting an end to most of them.

Love me or loathe me, I contributed well over 600 posts to this forum. I stuck with you all through thick and thin. Even though by now most of you dislike me, I still stayed on and tried to get along. But I know exactly where this is going. And I'm not going to be here to suffer it.

The second this goes ahead, will be the second I leave. Unless ALL insulting award catagories are removed from the competition.
