host our banners please
 

Will the forum ever consider hosting signatures for the forumers? Sure this has been an issue, how comes it doesn't? Would reeaaallly love and appreciate it if it did.

I could probably host a few.

I think the forums don't do it to keep a quick load time for pages. The strain of showing banners from the same server as the forums themselves could create an unwelcome lag in loading

I could always stick them up on the "old server" if you wish ... but you'd have to email me the banner that you want uploaded.

I'm not sure if there is an issue with having banners on the same server ... if there's not I don't see why we can't do it on a separate basis [i.e. you email them to me or Peter]. But we disallowed them from being linked through forum posts ... because that required taking them from the database.
