I would love to get into game development. But there's nothing over here in Australia. Except one course I saw that had some stuff relating to it, but it was just so expensive.

I read all those inhabitants profiles on Oddworld.com, but a lot of that stuff isn't quite relevant for over here.

I guess I just stick to website development.

Being in California, I think I'm looking into USC for a minor in game devolopment. The video game industry is worth 13 billion dollars a year. More than movies. Obviously video games are being taken more seriously and it looks like more colleges are going to follow USC in offering a minor.....or even a major in VG Devolopment.

same over here in the UK games companies earn just the same and more as film companies so they should teach it like media studies(about films) its a career that i hope for

Ah yes. I'm currently planning on majoring in Interactive Media and Game Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design... with a minor in Sequential Art (comics). The tuition is flippin' ridiculous, though... I just hope I'll be able to pick up a few scholarships.

Hopefully, the market won't be completely saturated by the time I get out into the "real world." Supply and demand is a bitch.

Yeah, at USC the VG-Devolopment class allready has 85 students and there is a huge waiting list. People are going nuts over this. I either want to go to film school or USC, so I'm keeping my options open.
