What's your favorite oddworld game?

I'm a big fan of Abe's Oddysee-because it seems that it is the only OW game that Abe and his Mudoken buddys have four fingers, also due to the fact that it is the only game that you get to ride an Elum. So tell me your story. please send me a reply.

My fave game is AE. AO has the best story and atmosphere, but AE is the most fun one to me. They listened to the fans on what they didn't like about AO, and they did a really great job.

AE. It had a dark atmosphere balanced out with the right amount of humour, and it was fun to play (Controlling farts was a little stupid, though)

I think AO is the best. It had an atmosphere I loved. I haven't played MO yet, so I don't know about that one.

Abe's Exoddus.

You cannot defeat...the flying Sligs. They are awesome.

AE for me--it is the funniest of the three games released so far and it has the best gameplay, IMHO.

I like AE becaus you can control Glukkons,Paramites etc. not just Sligs

AO & MO, but out of them, Abe's Oddysee

Stranger's Wrath. It puts a new twist on OWI. The 1st-3rd person shooter was awesome, and the live ammo....it's just makes it a great game. I loved Munch's Oddysee as well. Being Abe and Munch, switching to complete the levels was pretty good.

Welcome back to the forums, misty! Haven't seen you here in a while! :D Anyway, yeah, Stranger's an awesome game and I had a blast playing it! :D But my favorite Oddworld game will always be Abe's Exoddus. ;)

cool, cool. thats great to hear. and thankyou for being here. I am glad to anounce that I am for sure here to stay! and I really dont care if I spell anything wrong... because Im lazy... lol. I do hope that all you kids that are still in school are having a great summer! but for those of you that have to suffer with work and all... I know how you feel. ^_^ ttyl all.

oddworld stranger's wrath is da best...EVER...exept if the 5th oddworld will be beter :p stranger's wrath gots alot more action and stuff and in my opinion the whole follow me and bring to bird portal is abit anoing :)

I agree with Taskmaster. In my opinion Stranger's Wrath is the best Oddworld game that I've ever seen. It isn't like other games. Stranger is very cool (esp. his dark voice:D ) . I love Stranger's Wrath ^^
But I also like Abe's Exoddus. Altough it's more difficult than Stranger's Wrath. The other Oddworld games are fantastic, too.

I have yet to try Stranger's Wrath, so I say AE. It was just great to me- Possesion of just about any character, cool new characters, a good storyline, and great gameplay. I just wish I had my own copy of it- I borrowed it from a neighbour and I never got to complete it.

Better believe's 'dat Stranger's Wrath is gonna be the best game, till, that is, Oddworld 4 comes out. But even if that game wasn't oh-so good, Stranger's Wrath will still be #1! ^.^

I'd have to go with SW also. It's just too darn good to say no to!

It's gotta be AE of me.
I choose that because I only have AO and AE. AE is funnier, is more fun, AND it has quicksave. Everyone loves quicksave.
I only have a PS2 and didn't play MO or SW because I'm too cheap to buy an Xbox. LOL :)

Yeah, I, too, think that AE is funnier and the quiksave helps a lot in the game. In my opinion, AO has a more mystic feel to it, but not having the quiksave made it a bit hard in some spots. And yay, misty's back for good! :D It's great to hear that you're here to stay. ;) But yeah, SW is a great game, too-I love how Stranger has such a dark life filled with lies and the hiding of the truth....I feel that he can relate to people more than the other characters because of his situation. ;)

In personal and professional opinion, Abe's Exoddus was THE best, followed closely by Stranger's Wrath.

AO. Nothing, NOTHING, ever beats AO. I mean, it was a balanced difficulty, and it didn't have that CHEAT, Quicksave.

Plus, it's Ol' Skool. ;)

hua... so it hasent.... :fuzgrin: cool! lol. I myself like abes oddysee, but yea... now that Strangers Wrath has come out... wow... I cant get enough. Out of all the games that I have ever played in my lifetime... I still go for the oddworld games. Whats weird to me is that in AO you can see the forming of another moon or planet off in the distance (in the stockyard) I cant help but to think that its Munches moon... But thats just me.

Strangers Wrath was definatley returning to Oddworld's darker roots. It comes as a close second. Also, I just love FPS.

The feel of AO was just dark and evil. I'd like to see more of this sort of stuff. Mabye in Citizen Seige?

I have to agree with you on oddworlds comeback with Stragers Wrath. I do hope that the next one will prove to be even better. Maybe darker... I really dig the feel of AO, to me the best part was the Mesonic lines :fuzconf: ... even if I cant spell it right... ^_^ I mean it really has been awhile for me. ttyl :fuzgrin:

I completely agree-I think AO was the darkest game out of all four of the games. ;) If Oddworld ever happens to make a movie, I hope it's just as dark, if not darker, than AO was. ;)

It's a tie for Stranger's Wrath and AO... AO had the atmosphere, SW had the gameplay and atmosphere and funny creatures (Go Grubbs!)... lacked in design, though. :nonono:
