best game type (a.k.a. genre)
which is best?
strategy, shooter, platform? |
I chose them all because you're stupid.
|
Ooh! I'm spreading my ways!
Good work nads. Respect earned. Had you worded the topic "What types do you like" and not what is the best, meaning there can only be one, you wouldn't look like such an idiot. I'm going to choose seriously, though. |
I like mmorpgs..... and rts....
|
RPG and Adventure for me. And anything where you can get lost and explore lots of places.
Abe Babe... |
Jesus Christ's bannanas, you guys. Since when did we become stuck-up literal prick town? Just pick a f*cking genre and quit giving him a hard time.
I choose Shooter and Adventure... because there issn't a Survival/Horror option. |
Go Luke. I come to the topic, and its like wtfomfgroflmao people are being mean. Anyways...
I picked like half the choices. The mood just swings sometimes. For example, right now I feel like playing a good platformer. Maybe I'll go beat Spyro again or something. Maybe see if I can actually get 100% on Crash 2 or something, I never could when I was a little kid. Kind of like I never got to 100% on Spyro until last year. There's my rant for today. EDIT: What dumbasses voted for Options 16 & 17? Go to hell. Polls are usually meant to be serious. |
I agree with Majic. My prefered game genres change from time to time. For instance, I missed playing "Donkey Kong Country 2" on SNES, so I bought the system and game off ebay and had a great time! Right now I just got "Blinx the Time Sweeper" and I'm playing that right now. I also just got "Tony Hawk 2X," so I'll be playing that after I beat Blinx.

My favourite genres are Adventure and RPG. Like Abe Babe, I basically enjoy games that you can roam around in.
Alcar... |
Oh baby, I just love those exploring games!:D
Alcar, I see you changed your banner. Good thing too, so many people were stealing it. Very annoying indeed. -oddguy:fuzcool: |

Thus, the thankyou note in my signature. Alcar... |
I picked strategy, platform, shooter and adventure. To be honest I've only played one FPS, TimeSplitters 2. I've never really tried RPGs or such exploration games, so I don't know if I'd like them - I like games that have strong plots that you can follow, such as Splinter Cell and Oddworld, where the story is integrated so perfectly with the gameplay - that's why I'm wary of the idea of an RPG Oddworld game.
Although I did get addicted to the arcade parts of TS2, so... I'm not an avid gamer, I just play what I like. |

I like any aside from any sport sim that doesn't have, atleast, destructive appendages.
I liked Mutant League Hockey for the Megadrive though, that was amazing... |
FPS Such as Halo, Classic Goldeneye, etc. Or other shooters, Ghost Recon, Red Faction, Splinter Cell. Adventure games such as oddworld, or crash bandicoot. And certain Rpgs such as Kotor.

"I put on my robe and wizard hat" my orc seriously has a robe and wizard hat. :flames: |

Upon purchasing Halo (played multiplayer then couldn't stop myself) I have decided this.
Goldeneye was the multiplayer FPS game of the 20th century and Halo is of the 21st. I can't stop inviting people 'round to play. |
when i said tetry i ment tetris...
i just forgot...i don't find that game amusing. :flames: |
Kam, play tetris world with me, while listening to Aerosmith.
|
My favorites are rpg and adventure. I still play Discworld (And I'll be back!). And I wish I could get my hands on a copy of Temple of Elemental Evil so I can make another blond orc.
