How do you get your music?
Hello everyone. How do you get the music that you listen to. Do you buy CDs, listen to the radio, or download mp3s. For me I mostly have mp3s and some CDs.

download.... free.... easy..

Yep I download "copies" of the CD's that I own :D |
I download songs I like, which then leads to me either buying the cd (having a job is great, I can now do that) or borrowing a cd and copying. I don't feel bad for pirating games, but cd... I would like to have bought all the cds I have. I think it's about 75% I have bought so that's good.

I do not understand why, Listen to the radio is a source where you can actually 'get' your music, the chances of listening to the music you want is rare unless its a popular song, well i personally just scam artists of there right to recieve money for their songs, just because i like their music doesnt mean i like them...(does'nt include RHCP)

I buy my music, but recently I've got a friend to burn me some CDs. Though, I'll be asking for the proper versions for my birthday.

I download mp3's and burn CDs. Ahh, so simple :D
|
All of them :D But I'm more inclined to get it burnt for me than download it.

I download mp3s, and if I come across an album that's worth owning, it goes on my brithday/Crimbo list. I listen to the radio, too, although Radio One hasn't been playing much goodness recently. If I hear a song on there I like, I download it. Ta da, the cycle is complete.
Well, not really. |
I buy CD's and I copy some cd from my friends
|
I listen to the radio and burn the CD's that my friends buy, they like the same music I do. I don't buy many CD's, because most of them are crap (like the one I bought with not a single good song) but there are some good ones (like Za Frumi or ZZ Top). Very few of them though.

I used to download all of my music and burn it to a CD, but my old comp caught a bastard virus. So no more downloady... until I get the comp fixed, at least.
I only listen to the radio for an hour on Sunday nights (before [as], naturally). That's when they play all the groovy local music. However, I normally can't stand the radio. So basically, I buy CDs. We've got a great independent CD shop here in Knoxville, and they sell all the bands I like for cheap! :D |
I used to have Kazaa, but I got rid of it one day for no real reason except that it was taking up room on my computer. Not to long after, people were getting sued for downloading and not paying for songs. Anyway, I buy CD's, but sometimes I burn them from friends.

I buy all my music. And usually from places like Half.com where they're like 4 bucks, 'cause I'm cheap like that.

I like to buy the original CDs if I can ... but FF music either must be imported, or the only copies you can buy over here are Hong Kong rip offs that claim to be official, but aren't. But can be a lower cost alternative to playing for expensive Japanese pressings.
I also download mp3s ... I have over 600 of them (many of them I have on CD as well though). The great thing about mp3s is that I can have one gigantic playlist with all my favorite songs on it, and play it on random. It's like having your own radio station that only plays music you like. :) Abe Babe... |

i download my music off the computer, illegal always seems more efficient. i'm not really in tuned into the music world these days which is sad really seeing how i'm a half british teen and can play quite a selection of instruments. *sigh*
Sometimes i buy music CDs, but only if they're a worth it band and usually if so they have like cool special features and stuff of that nature.... |
Any free way that I can, burning, borrowing Mp3 players, listening to it off the net' putting on to my computer, other people's radios, car radios, etc. I just don't wanted to be jacked at the register for a few songs.
