Female Mudokons? (ABE'S GIRLFRIEND?!)
Are there any female mudokons? I mean, how are they born? And should Abe/Munch get a girlfriend?
|
Mudokons are birthed by the same mother, Sam. Kinda like a mudokon queen.

Nah, there are no female Mudokons as you'd immediately think. There is one Mudokon female, and that's the queen, Sam. Mudokons are a super species, like ants or termites - one queen gives birth to loads of sexless drones. Sam is being kept by the Vykkers for her eggs, from which baby Mudokons hatch, as you'd expect. This is how the Magog Cartel gets the bulk of their slave labour - bought from the Vykkers Conglomerate.
This of course means that Abe is, technically, neither male nor female. However, Mudokon drones, like Slig and Glukkon drones (these also being super species) are predominantly 'masculine', if you get what I mean. Of course there are the more feminine, such as Lulu the Glukkon, who enjoys reading girly comics. Abe has no sexual organs. However, he does have masculine dangly bits. Or rather, bit. Mudokons have a sense of decency, hence the loincloth. Munch could have a girlfriend, since Gabbits are a bisexual species. However, he hasn't exactly got a great gene pool to choose from - 150 eggs/Gabbiwogs which he'll be raising as his own children (I imagine), and if Paul O'Connor's Designer Diaries are anything to go by, his own mother. What's more, I find it difficult to imagine love exists on Oddworld - but who knows. Love is a very strange thing, and it would be interesting to see how Lorne can twist it in truely alien and odd ways. Anyway, there's your crash course in sexuality, reproductive models and lurve on Oddworld. Welcome to the Forums! Enjoy your time here. |
Max, it's nice to see that you put some time into your answer, unlike me!:p I was very interested in your comment about love on oddworld. I'd like to see what Lorne would do with that and make it truly...odd!

The only things that spring to mind when thinking of odd love are those birds of which I can recall nothing except that the males collect blue things around their nest to attract females, and those female spiders that eat the males after copulating. Lovely.
Anyway, it's good to put the Encyclopaedia back into action. Not TOE, that's cancelled until next year, I fear. Danged school work. *yawn* Three months of work to get done in one week and all I can do is listen to Monty Python songs, watch my new Amelie DVD and play TimeSplitters 2. *sigh* |
Wait a minute...Sam? I don't have XBOX Munch's Oddysee yet, nor an XBOX. I've played at my friends house though, but I never heard about the mudokon queen, Sam. The closest thing I've seen to a queen is the Almighty Raisin.

How do you know about the sexuality? Especially Gabbits been Bisexual?

Aye, I said Gabbits were a bisexual species, meaning they have two sexes, male and female. Blame nomenclature for confusion, not me. As for mentioning sexuality, it was just a throwaway line to wrap up the post - I didn't actually talk about sexuality.
|
here let me break this down for ya Noobe
Max post shortened: Sam was the queen of mudokons, she gave birth to the genderless drones PA's post shortened: Sam was not in munch's oddysee, we have known of her for a while, but not through the actual games PS: hey im bisexual! |

If there were to be no ME, Im sure many of us would be very disappointed, Including myself.
|
lets post this again
why, if they don't plan any ME did they use this adress? http://www.oddworldmunchsexoddus.com |
I should think Munch's Exoddus is more than likely to come out. It, along with the rest of the Quintology, has just been postponed until after OW4. Actually, since OWI are already working on storyboarding and FMVs, it wouldn't be all too unreasonable to wager the design team are already working on the next title - just maybe.
As for your female Mudokon, Abeguy I'd be incredibly interested to hear where you saw this picture. You may have actually said in your post, but I'm incapable of deciphering phrases such as :
|
Max, it's probably some old (or even recent) fanart, there are plenty of them with "female" mudokons
|
True, and I did consider that, but I'd still like to know.
|
Check OWI, I think I saw a fan art picture there. As for a real one, I highly doubt there ever was a real picture of a female mudokon with Abe.
