Things don't look good for X-Box
 

In a recent pole done by electronic gamer/OPM/PSM/Nintendo Power (which I took), only 13% said they are getting a X-box; 13% said Hell no; 54% said I am happy with my current system; 30% said that they are getting an Gamecube/PS2 soon.

Is this the end of X-box - I hope so... I have an PS2 and have seen the power of it. Square - has seen the power or it. So, Oddworld should kiss some ass and get back on the PS2 boat unless they wanta hang out in the HRS foodstamp line.

OOC: Anyone who was upset by my foodstamp remark... I wanta let you know while I was growing up I was on foodstamps for a while. So don't be upset; keep it to yourself.

I agree. XBox will flop, and PS2 and GameCube will kick its sorry little plastic bum!

X-box is a peice of junk blah blah blah SHUT UP.. i just cant wait till you see... and all those people not in the 13% see how great the x-box is and will be... the game cube is gonna be a paice of junk.. nintendo sux im sorry to tell you... and your playstation 2.. yes that is a very good system but it wont stand with the x-box out there... people are going to be sceptical cause they hate bill gates or for whatever dumbass reason but they will see sooner or later and in the end x-box will provale.. so say whatever you want about how much the x-box blows because of your fear of a better system. but there is a better system and it is the x-box.

for what it's worth, all consoles should be sent to a dark corner to shrivel up and die, and all games should be played on PC, IMHO... :D [j/k, mostly...]

PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox are all great systems with terrific games. It's not about one being "bad" and the other "rules".
It's about choices, like t.v.'s, computers ,or cars! We live in a world of CHOICES!
Oddworld chose to go with the Xbox because we are a first party game with them. MS and Xbox offers an incredible amount of technical support. It's hard for you fans to understand how difficult it is to make a game. OK I said my peace.

I have to agree with the others, how do you know xbox is gonna suck if you've never even seen it in action, from what I saw the graphics look pretty good, especialy the video with Munch's head poping out of the water. :p

X-Box; all those who despise Mr. Gates will despise anything that has the Microsoft logo on it. This is not to say that I care for Mr. Gates; I do not defend him at all.

Too many people "pre-judge," if you will, many things before that product or whatever actually lives up to its claims or does not.
I hope the X-Box succeeds, for the sake of Oddworld and for the sake of all the loyal fans of the series who have waited for so long for Munch to blaze across the screen with his quirky smile.

This kind of defiance to the Xbox isn't anything new. Remember when the first Playstation came out? Many other console owners felt threatened by it, constantly saying that it wouldn't get popular. The Playstation turned out to be the most popular console ever to come about.

The same can be said for the Xbox. People feel threatened by its power so make wild claims about it. From what we've seen and heard, the Xbox will have no problem at all stepping up to the King of the Konsoles throne.

As sad as it is, I am afraid for the xbox. Take the poll, for example. 13% said they will get one. And James Weaver, the xbox may be more powerful, but results are results. You can say that the xbox will be the best one, but it'll be the best one -- with hardly any customers. I myself am angry because to play Munch, I have to get an xbox, and the xbox isn't looking so hot.

Name one other game that looks cool... Actually, Halo looks pretty cool, so name two.

I think the X-Box would be Market leader! At the beginning i was angry about the change from PS2 to X-Box, but now i'm looking forward to play Munch's Oddysee on X-Box and not on PS2!

The X-Box have a cOol design, and the graphic are really cOol!!! i've ordered in advance the X-Box for two months, so i just have to pay when the X-Box comes out!

Aaaaand i i've asked a lot of people if they find the X-Box better than the PS2!
The most people said, that they would buy an X-Box, of course, they said the PS2 is garbage of the year!

I saw a topic just with the name "XBox" and there are about 200 replies!!! A lot of people bought a PS2, and they said that this was a mistake.

But of course, there gives many people who are against Microsoft!

I can't understand this! i saw a lot of discussions at the TV and Internet, i saw many Forums about X-Box and PS2! In every Forums are the same discussions! Someone say "XBox is crap, i love my PS2, it's better" then there comes an other person and say the antipode!

Well, that's staticstics and that's what other people think. Does'nt mean that you necessarily have to follow them. It really matters on what you think. In my opinion, I don't give a crap what people say so I guess I just would have to see for myself :D :D :D :D

Okay, consider this: according to ol' Mr. Lanning, the Xbox made possible and probable the sort of quality he wanted to put into MO.
I'm accepting this explanation at face value, since I figure "selling out" would more or less exactly contradict the views that the Oddworld series has been extolling.
I'm certainly not thrilled about MO being on a different console (hell, I just bought a used N64 three weeks ago), but I'd rather have that than a compromise in the quality of the Oddworld games I've come to love.

How can you say that Xbox will flop? Nobody here (with the possible exception of Abebabe) has seen the games for themselves. Don't discredit Xbox based on a poll taken 4 months before it's released.

I direct this more or less to Mr.Alf:

Sir, your "Homies" say that streching the limits or the PS2 took alot of programing. But, I have seen games so beautiful on the PS2 in it's opening. I beleave that your switch from the PS2 was dumb in my option and everyone on this earth is entitled to one. I think that "The Green Stuff" more or less made you guys dumb the PS2. I will not go on due to I think I have stated what I think is enough.
