What do you think the Forums is becoming?
there's a ton of people who don't know zip about OW
and there are tons of people who know more than Lorne Lanning (if that is possible)
What do you think?

Just wait for noobs to pour in by the hundreds when OW4 comes out!:eek:

No one will ever be as knowledgable about Oddworld than Lorne Lanning. All we have are try-hards ;)

I'm so chuffed, I feel I could almost get on with my homework.

Anyway, Lorne does know more about Oddworld - just not at any one instant. It would be interesting to go head to head against him in an Oddworld trivia quiz, lol.

As for the forums, they seem to be getting busier, but I've only been here for a year now.

Yes... from Angel... Because that show always talks about Oddworld.

Lorne will always be an inspiration to me. He's done so much that is way under apprieciated in my mind.

The forums will undoubtably be influxed with new members nearing the release of the new game, during the release, and shortly after the release. Most of these new members will not post at all, some will post a few times, and a minority will stay and contribute, becoming well known figures.

It's what happened last time, when Munch's Oddysee was doing the rounds. I do hope out of this new minority of long-termers we'll get, that we get some good members :)

Oh, and the Oddworld Forums have passed the two thousand members mark! Just thought I'd mention it here, rather than dedicate a whole new thread to that small fact.

I was just one of the random guys who joined. I've always loved OW, and one day it hit me.......I should join the OWF!:D Anyway, I joined ( obviously:rolleyes: )and it was a good time too, because it was right when we heard that X-Factor would be on Discovery. I remember how busy the forums were after that. Leave for an hour....come back to see that 150 posts popped up in your absence. Those were the good ol' days for mwah!:D Sometimes I wish I would've joined sooner though.:fuzsad:

Yep, 2000 members! :D Yeah, but beware, you are going to get some really dumb questions, and even then, the same question will be answered over and over again :p

Yay! I was a drone of the UK release of MO, and me getting an xbox, and within the 7 .5 months of me being here and just over 1000 posts, look where I am:D

Yep same here I was one of original MO noobs in the months before it came out. and look at me now I am a Mod! Powerful respected and not to mention an artist with a vision. But those old days at Oddworldian were so fun. You know I think all the vertans includeing myself are now Mods. We are like eather the first and second generation of the forums. These noobs might one day take their respected seats. Odd help us if they do! Ah mann the memories. I remember my avaitor use to be Sam and I started here with a topic about whats on the other side of Oddworld. I've must have come up with a lot intresting topics over the years.

I literally stumbled upon the OWF while I was browsing Oddworldian, looking for info on Scrabs... Well, almost 2 years later, with a break of a few months, look where I am!

Pffft - I'm the second eldest here. Plus I was on the official GT Interactive Oddworld Forums before I saw you anywhere. :p

Hmm... I didn't think we got X-Box that late, but I'm pretty sure I got one a couple of months after they came out here. I joined because of Munch's Oddysee. Now I can't leave.
I've become what I would used to call 'sad'.

I find that a lot of the people that come on here and don't know anything about Oddworld are friends with existing members in real life. One of mine who had never played Oddworld joined.
But I disposed of him...

Awwww, you know the real reason you can't leave is because you're so loved by us all!

Same here. Josh, and a few other stagnant members joined because I was on here.
