MGS3!!!!!!! has anyone else heard about it? its set in a jungle in russia and it think its set before MGS2. It looks great and ecutally makes me want a PS2!

hmm... perhaps MGS2 was good but the gameplay and a bit of the storyline was crap! the stuff you had to blow up and obstacles to past were the same as MGS so i dont have high expectations for MGS3

but its set in the jungle. Think of all the different possabilitys of that!

Yeah, it should be good. But no one knows if it's set in Russia. No one knows where it is set. We have very little information. We don't even know the main character.
I personally think it's Big Boss, but there are Snake fanboys that believe there will be a time machine or some bullshit to take him back to the 60's.

If you'd followed the plot, you would have found out it was meant to be the same as MGS1, dumbass.

And they don't have Jungles in Cuba..

Anyway all we know is it's in a jungle, in the 60's and the main character has one eye......

but the M4 and thermal inmaging seen in the trailer wasnt around in the '60's. I think its big boss.

We know it's set in the 60's the bloke who made it, his name escapes me, has said so in several reviews. Anyway, I don't care who we play as as long as Snake gets a Spot in it (His hair is great) and Raiden doesn't appear at all.

Cuba does not havee the dence jungle/ rainforest we've seen in the pictures.

And MGS2 was a re-make of MGS1 anyway, that was the whole point of it dumbass, they re-released it with a slightly altered plot,different setting, different characters, much better graphic, more items, and generally improved in in general over all, Dumbass...

there were some black ops missions in vietnam near the beggining. This might just be one of them.

Don't be such a Snake fanboy. Raiden was cool, not as cool as Snake, but cool. Snake should have still had at least half of the game though.

Last time I looked Metal Gears weren't around these days, either. The game does not have to be true to history, considering the others aren't.

I don't know about Vietnam though. Was it in 1960-63?

I agree, MGS was better, but MGS2 was funnier. Especially the crazy Colonel bit.

No, Raiden's skeleton Suit was cool, he was just a sterotype Japanese created lead character, where as Snake was the Stereotypical American created lead character. And Liquid was the Sterotypical American Created Bad-Guy, British.

I'm not saying Snake was cool, he wasn't that cool, he was a sterotype lead character, if they could come up with an original character, then I'd have no quarms, but all of the characters so far have been Sterotypes..

well believe it or not a real working robot T-rex has been made, the piolt sit in its head and all, but its not as big as metal gear. You do have a good point though.

i new ud start a topic on the mgs3 game! ferill came round mine last week n we watched the trailer i got! it took ages 2 finish!!!!! it was super cool though looked gr8 fun..

Are you sure? It really didn't seem that way to me. I mean, there is a BIG between the simulation Raiden went through and the game simply being a "remake."

MGS: Twin Snakes, on the other hand, will be a remake, is that what you meant to say?

Yeah I suppose, but Ocelot does claim it was meant to be almost identical to Shadow Moses, so I'm just saying though it wasn't a complete remake as i made out in my earlier post, they are extremely similar, and the plot makes use of that. And i was telling Raven MM not to moan, because they're meant to be very similar.

okay... I have just beaten MGS2: substance, can someone please explane the ending to me! what was Ocelot on about? Whos GW? why was cambell turning into a skull?

I could type out a big, long, boring page about the ending of MGS2, but I won't. Besides, I'd have to play the game over so I could remember everything.

Trust me, it's better if you figure it out for yourself. Try playing the game over. There are plenty of reasons to, and it took me a few times through before I got a good grasp on the story.

I will tell you, however, that GW and the Colonel are its, not whos.

Ferill, you're supposed to watch the cut-scenes if you care about the plot...

God I hate that! When people are playing games, and then they skip the cut scenes, or parts what tell them what to do, and then ask "What happened?" and "Where should I go now?"

GW is explained at about halfway through the game, so it won't spoil anything me telling you that GW is an massive computer program and AI.

In the credits for MGS 2 it says that Mei Ling (sp?) was in it, was she that Japanese woman at the top right of the screen, when the Colonel goes Spacko?

i have watched every cut-scene in the game, i just really want to know why the colonel looks like a skull in one of the convos. I think i get the rest of it now though.

Argh, watch them again, I'd really hate it if I or anyone else had to post spoilers here, and ruin the plot for people who haven't played it.

Hobo, I haven't tried this, but everyone else says it works. When on the tanker, call Otacon and save 13 times. You have to do it in a different room each time, and on the thirteenth time Otacon will apparantly be talking to Mei Ling in the background. I'm not sure if I explained it too well, so look on GameFAQs. I have also heard that you can do all thirteen saves in hold 3 and it will work.
