I'm still on AO, at Stock Yard P6, I cannot jump far enough to get to the other platform and despite me running as fast as possible and trying to hoist up to the other platform to get there as quickly as possible, it is just impossible to get there without being killed by the scrab. I don't understand this.

You do know that you can jump while running, right? And that you can grab a ledge in mid-air? Cuz that's what you have to do. Wait for the Scrab to wal towards you, and then run off (with or without jumping) the ledge and do a running jump towards the other ledge. Hoist and you're on your way again.

Wow, long time since some-1 needed help...

I've done this, but abe still doesn't have enough time to get up to the other platform, the scrab still manages to kill him, the furthest he can get is to begin to hoist, by then the scrab has got him. I've attempted this over 100 times, and despite any premeditated form of precision, he still never manages to get there on time. I really need help, this manouvring seems so slow and impossible to accomplish getting past this screen.

Keep trying. Do as Alphascrab said and have the Scrab walk towards you. Make sure he is facing you when you run off the ledge. It takes the Scrab some time to turn around and face you after you just ran past him. By the time he starts running after you, you should already be grabbing the ledge and hoisting up in the nick of time. You need to just run off the ledge and after you hit the ground, still running by the way, you need to jump while you're running and whilst in the air, hold the up button so by the time you grab onto the ledge, you're allready hoisting up. Sounds very complicated, but once you get it, it's very easy.

yes, its easy, but the parts following are very very difficult

it involves lots of sligs, slogs, shadows, and vampire bats

When i get to that part, i usually jump before running down to the scrab. That's giving you some more time. :-)

Yeah, that could work.
Maybe you can try tapping the chant button. Then the Scrab will screech, and do nothing. Make sure it is right beneath you, facing you, and then chant, jump, running jump to the ledge, and then hoist.

I didn't have much trouble getting past these parts, but I was hyperactive at the time. Damn orange squash.

i always wait til the scrab runs toward ya and then run/jump over it before it reaches the ledge yourre on, then follow alphascrabs's hints.

There is no scrab.

The trick is to run and jump off the ledge as the scrab is walking toward you. As you run and jump off the ledge, you should jump waaaay over the scrab and quite a way into the middle of the scrab's pen.

Once you've landed you'll need to jump as you're running to catch the ledge. If you run and jump just before you reach the ledge, he should hoist up really fast.

The mistake I was making on this, was jumping over the scrab, running to the ledge, stopping, hoisting up, and getting killed as I hoisted. I actually discovered what to do by accidentally pressing the jump button!

So yeah just give it a few more try's and let us know how you do. But like sligslinger said, the free-fire zone after the stockyards are waaay harder! The bits in the shadows are easy enough, but there is this really tough part involving two or so sligs...
