Main RPG Rules and Story.
Ok, Starting today, the Main RPG plot(s) will be starting. This is a base thread for rules, posting your characters, suggestions and the storyline and any updates.
Attachmeny: Rough map of the Area Story: A little while after MO, Mudos suddenly went quiet, Until,a year to the day that Vykkers Labs went down, Jet Black clouds filled the Skies of all Mudos. And to this day they haven't lifted. This is causing Natives to despair for their crops and Wildlife will not grow, and for the Industrials, It's causing alot of worries amongst the high Glukkon Council. That wasn't all that happened that day, upon that day, members of each race started to disappear from their Homes without trace... The leaders of the Great Races have met, and forged a peace uptil this mystery is solved, though, weather you chose to uphold it is a different matter Now, You must decide the fate of oddworld, will you help save the land, or will you attempt to make yourselves a profit. Mud:- Starting Equipment:- 1 Catapult 1 Loin Cloth 1 Small Rusty Pocket Knife 20 Moolah Starting Stats:- Strength:6(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Thief Skills: -2(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Intelligence: 3(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Perception:2(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Agility:1(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Description: Nature on Mudos would never have thrived without Mud's they're many tribes offer many jobs which will help Nature to thrive... Vykker:- Starting Equipment:- 1 Sawbones 1 Old Rusty Lab kit 1 bag of bolts, screws and springs 1 hunk of uncrafted Metal 1 pair of old stained goggles 120 Moolah Starting Stats:- Strength:3(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Theif Skills:2(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Intelligence:6(Can be trained higher/ learnt) Perception:1 (Depends on Goggles) Agility:6 Description:Using their Labkits and Junk, they can forge any item( PM me for what you'll need for the item you want) Gabbits:- Starting Equipment:- 1 rusty old wheelchair 3 Fuzzles Starting Stats:- Strength:-2 Thief skills:7 Intelligence:1 Perception:7 Agility:-3 Description: Gabbits are the main theives of oddworld, how they do it, is only known by the Gabbits.... Glukkon:- Starting Equipment:- 400 Moolah Starting Stats:- Strength:1 Thief Skills:1 Intelligence:10 Perception:4 Agility:1 Description: The brains of Mudos, can use these powers to help the natives, industrials, or use their brains to help the Mafia... You choose where you start, you post your actions in the relevent thread, if your character is travelling to a new tribe or city, you must say that at the end of the last post. Item Shops: Shops cost 150 Moolah to set up(PM me when you want to set one up, , but, unless you hire another player to stay in the city where you built the shop, it will only be open to sell to the players when you are in the city. You can get stock from Vykkers, or buy it cheap from other players. You do set your own rates. Skill Shops: Skill shops can be set up by anyone, they'll cost 400 Moolah to set up and 20 moolah for each turn you want to keep it open, no moolah, no shop, you do not have to be there to run a skill shop and there is no limit on what level of what skill you can train, but you cannot train yourself at your own shop. You do set your own rates. Skills and Jobs: If your character is running short on Moolah, and doesn't want to open their own shop, you must apply to me, via the Job Thread, for a job, I'll have a list of what Jobs there are available, where you need to be to get them, how much moolah you earn per post in that city, what skills you'll need and weather you can currently get the job. When you are collecting Moolah for a Job you must post at the top: [Collect Moolah for Job:*Name of JOB HERE*, *RATE OF MOOLAH HERE*] Shop Assistants, can be hired by players to run shops when they cannot be in the city, to tranfer moolah or other items to players please put at the top [Give: *ITEM/ MOOLAH AMMOUNT*, *CHARACTERS NAME*] You are responicble for your own character and editing your items/ moolah ammounts and items is your responcibility, but i will be making checks, and any cheating will get one warning apon their account and be banned from the RPG. Dark Mud:- Starting Items:- 100 Moolah Lightly padded armor Small Rusty Pocket Knife Damaged Crystal Rifle Sphere Starting Stats:- Strength:8 Thief Skills:-1 Intelligence:2 Perception:4 Agility:6 Description: (Beware, it's a long one, copied and pasted you see) Species: Dark Mudokon Origin: The Lost Continent of Sailas through the powers of the Omega Relec. Purpose: To reign as supreme race of Oddworld through destruction and devestation. Major traits and differences compared to the typical Mudokon: A typical Dark Mudokon is much taller and stronger and more slender than its counterpart the regular Mudokon. The Dark Mudokon generally wears thick plated armor that protects them in battle. But don't be fooled by their armor for they have weaknesses. They sport a rather dark purpleish black color of their skin. Instead of sporting a pony tail these Muds possess eather spikes or nothing. They Mudokons gone bad just like Orcs in how they were Elfs that gone bad. Its a similar thing here. Most Dark Muds generally wear a sort of symbolic helmet that makes them even more advance like and intimidateing. The whole armor or outfit inwhich the Dark Mud wears represents who they are and where they came from. It also represents their god who was once a Dark Mud himself. Dark Mudokons generally are an unplesent species that crave war. These guys are worse than sligs when it comes to sadistic behavior. They live industrialy and their eyes glow red just like Glukkon eyes. They have solid glowing eyes that shows that they were the product of evil itself. materals and weapons: Dark Muds move freely around in large matallic spheres that serve as sort of a battle tank and transport. All Dark Muds carry with them a dagger and a crystal powered Rifal that is very deadly when fired at an opponant. History: Tens of thousands of ages ago on the continent of Sailas there was a race of beings known as the Gargaznoo. These creatures were viewed as war lords to the continent. They were huge giants that roamed the great forest of this land. Where they built thier great Empire. The Alpha Glukkons which were the resistence attempted many times to bring down their great empire but everytime it failed. The Glukkons of Sailas were good of heart and piece loveing and nature liveing. Now the Gargaznoo were a people that performed dark mistical powers that made them the domenent race of this land. Until they stumbled upon a mysterous black monolyth that possessed great powers. The Gargaznoo were impressed with this Monolyth that they forged from it a relec known as the Omega Relec. With this Relec The Gargaznoo thought they could overthrow Oddworld. But how was the question. Then one day one of the Gargaznoo discovered an unusual power from the Relec. It had the ability to create things. Then The Gargaznoo took the relec to the high priest of his people where they would come up with a plan to create the ultimate weapon of destruction. From the Relec an Army of worrors would be born. Worrors with an evil purpose to serve the Gargaznoo as their weapon. But that was a disaster in the makeing. And that is where fate set in. The Gargaznoo were thinking of a race that would have no problem of serving them and they knew of the inhabitants of Mudos. They knew that the Glukkons of Mudos exploited the Mudokons for their franchises. They thought Muds were loyal servants to Glukkons that this would work. They thought the Mudokon would be the perfect canidate for the super worror they needed to Plunder Sailas. And thus the Dark Mudokon was born. The Dark Mudokons were ruthless to the Alpha Glukkons killing them. And the Gargaznoo was pleased. But one day a Dark Mud named Clorn stole the relec from the Gargaznoo. He tried to possess it in hopes of being more powerful than any Dark Mud around. He craved the Relec. But the Relec had other plans. As he possessed it he began to transform into a powerful spirit and thus he turned into a god. With this he gathered the rest of his race the Dark Muds and decided to bring the Gargaznoo to its knees so that they may rule supreme. In result the great Gargaznoo became extinct or are they? After that the Dark Muds would plunder Sailas into war until the day when two unlikely fishing Mudokons from Mudos lost at sea accedently get stranded on Sailas. And that is where my fanfic begins. Its called (Oddworld Conquest of the Lost Continent) Key characters: Clorn the almighty god of the Dark Muds religion kind of like Shrykull only for the Dark Muds. But he was destroyed in the first of the promised three fanfics (dead) Trilas: Great leader and general of the entire Dark Mudokon race. He is a rogue and his enemy is Silak wise leader of the Alpha Glukkons. These two are after each other for the Relec. Silak wants to destroy it and Trilas wants it for himself. In many ways Trilas is in the same place of What Clorn was Like before he became a god. Trilas craves that power and he wants to become like what Clorn was maybe even more powerful. So Silak and Trilas are always in persuit of each other. Trilas also has a very arrogant behavior. He seems to stand out among all Dark Muds. Think of Darth Vader when it comes to Trilas in the sence of his character. |
Side Note about Dark Muds:
For now, Dark Muds cannot leave the three fortresses that I am creating, and no other race may enter them. This is because the dark muds are not one of the great five races, therefore they are not at peace with the other races, and currently the Dark Muds are in a ceasefire with all five great races. |
In case any of you are woundering Dark Muds are characters from one of my fanfics that I thought would play an intresting role. I discussed this with Hobo on Oddchat so thats where this came from. Above was my PM to Hobo. My character is named Trilas the leader of the Dark Mudokons.

Species: Slig Age: 18 Hobbies: Shooting and blowing up things, flying around in flying slig pants, partying, heavy drinking, and looking at mysterious magazines of girls. Professions: Dead-eye shot, and makes a mean Soulstorm brew! Turn-ons: Explosions, firing his gun, girls, and fire, lots of fire. Turn-offs: Naked glukkons (Don't ask!) Appearance: Robb looks like a normal slig, only with pants vandaled with stickers and other things, and a dark red bandana with mudokon skulls and crossbones just above his vizor, which he like to change the color of the lense(s) of. He walks around with a rolled up magazine stuffed in his pants, along with a flask of soulstorm brew, and some weaponry. Robb's a fun loving slig that LOVES partying and can't resist jackass stunts. What stands out about him is that he talks about women alot. When he sleeps, he grabs his pillow in an odd way and makes strange grunting noises. So he's not an ordianry slig, but he's a big party animal and makes a Soulstorm brew you'll never forget!! |

1: What use have theskills, apart from getting jobs? 2: Can you give a more detailed description of the items Vykker junk? (The one that goes bag of bolts, screws and springs, Hunk of uncrafted metal, ect.) For example, which ones do you lose after making something, which do you keep? |

Name: Pudfoot
Species:- Mudokon Current Equipment:- 1 Catapult 1 Loin Cloth 1 Small Rusty Pocket Knife 20 Moolah Current Stats:- Strength: 6 (Raises after chanting) Thief Skills: -2 Intelligence: 3 Perception: 2 Agility: 3 (Read Strength) Description: Pudfoot is no commoner, but neither is he rare. He is a genetically modified species of mudokon. Which means he can gain agility and strength after chanting. This is how he managed to break free from RuptureFarms before Abe did. Soon after he was captured in the SoulStorm brewery. Puddy thought he was screwed. He forgot his past, and focussed on his future. After three months in captivity he passed on. Fortunately The bigface came and resurrected him. What Puddy had to do to stay alive was find Abe, and help him through his Exoddus. Unfortunately Puddy was taken from Abe when they were skulking in the shadows. Puddy was tortured but it wasn't long before Abe recued him and 4 other Mudokons. He is free but what he doesn't know is he is the #2 most wanted Mudokon on Oddworld.... |
Ok, thanks to Rich the Intern's suggestion, I have added another field to the Character's Profile.
Key items: These are items that your character will be given throughout the story, like Joey currently has Lloyd's Panic Button. These cannot be on the item list, and there can only be one of each unless whiever made the first one states there are more around. When Obtaining key items, make it fit to yuor character's story, don't just say " he finds a map on the floor" make it be exciting and relevent to the plot. |

He was abandoned in the streets of Fortress Spire at birth and has mysterious tattoos that he has had as long as he can remember. He refused to go to war with his friends in order to get a job in the Fortress, this means he doesn't often need his armour. |
