Guitar, definately guitar. You can do all sorts of things with one. Look at Mr. Hendrix

Big_Bro_Slig222 09-23-2003 08:26 PM

No particular order...

Sitar.
Piano (electric)
drums
bagpipes.

TheKhanzumer 09-23-2003 08:35 PM

DRUMMERS are AWESOME

I voted for drums ('cause I play 'em) but I don't think there is a "best" instrument. They all can sound good by themselves (yes even the drums... ever heard Rythm Method by Rush's Neal Purt) but they are also ment to balance and enhance the others.

I have alot of respect for people who play an instrument well. I want to learn how to play the piano, harmonica and bagpipes some day.

Mac the Janitor 09-23-2003 09:14 PM

Hmm...where's organ? Organs are the best.

Majic 09-23-2003 11:20 PM

Cursed infidel. Theres no euphonium.

That mandates a warning:p
*joke*

Al the Vykker 09-24-2003 12:10 AM

Alto Saxophone. The instrument that every band director will pick on, unless your me. :p Anyways, Charlie Parker the legendary king of bebop jazz, played this instrument, and that mandates and automatic win for this instrument. :)

Alcar 09-24-2003 04:55 AM

I play the Piano, but it's boring. I'd rather play the Trumpet.

My favourite? It'd have to be the Strings. Very soothing.

Silversnow 09-24-2003 05:24 PM

The flute. I can't play it, but I love listening to it.

Reptile 09-24-2003 06:53 PM

Electric Guitar, uh huh, Im a little improved than I was before, soon i'll be a pro.

SeaRex 09-24-2003 07:00 PM

I love the bass. Standing bass and electric.

Bagpipes and tin wistles are great too. I'm a sucker for Irish and celtic music.

And there is this one kind of guitar with a really cool southwestern flavor to it. It's not a sliding guitar... but it makes a neat sliding sound. The damn thing looks like an acoustic, but you play it with a metal pick.

Joshy 09-24-2003 11:31 PM

Piano...

Facsimile 09-25-2003 08:43 AM

I play bass (would love to try a standup), but I would say the best instrument would be electric guitar. One day I will move on to it.
I dislike brass and key (I dunno... pianos and stuff) instruments.

Oddfan 10-07-2003 07:51 PM

guitars all the way. Yoo-Hoo!:D

paramiteabe 10-08-2003 11:04 AM

I say the Geetar because its the best instrument ever created. My brother knows StairWay to Heaven perfectly every note.

The guitar defined music of 60's, 70's and 80's. No instrument like the guitar has been so recognisable as the guitar. The guitar stands alone. Since I live near Cleveland the home of the RocknRoll Hall of Fame I actually got to see John Lennon's Guitar see his white piano and see other kinds of instruments used by the many legionds of Rock. My favorite a music artist are Lennon, Jimmy Page, Hendrix, and the electric poet Jim Morrison with the Doors.

Thats incredible music because its a mixture of Rocknroll, Jazz and other stuff combined in one profound package. Lets just say the music of that era was created by genuses

Um, "punk girl"...you're not supposed to just register a new account...you can ask for your password, you know...

Cloverfield 10-08-2003 01:17 PM

So you have broken one of the forum rules ... not you Mac. LOL I'll let this one rest ... but if you try to register Punk Girl, I won't approve it. One account per user, rules are rules. If you forget your password, you just click the Lost Password link. Or ask either myself or Alcar. We don't bite you know.

Well, it looks like she's registered as guitar_kid, bass_kid and punk_girl...

Alcar 10-08-2003 01:52 PM

Delt with accordingly. You will now have to use your guitar kid account, as all the others have been suspended. An email containing a password change has been dispatched to the email address suplied in your guitar kid account which is the mateymelia one.

Stop registering with multiple accounts. If you continue to do so, you'll be permanently IP banned, as you are continually disobeying the rules.

Yay Alcar! I couldn't be bothered doing investigating last night so was going to let it drop. Why the hell anyone would need that many usernames is beyond me. Sure you might lose the password for the first one, but not the second and third.

I agree with whoever said there's no such thing as a 'best' instrument. Personally I think hand claps sound bloody brilliant if used decently in music, as do sitars, castrati, cajones, sousaphones and cor anglais.

Scottish, Irish or French? :P I'm sure there are many more varieties. I'd really like to play the piano, because it would help so much when I'm composing, plus I'd be able to accompany myself on the 'bone, lol. Also I'd be able to progress onto the organ, which would be a sweet thing to take control of. Damn, Ross still makes me so jealous.

MrBoj 10-09-2003 11:16 PM

well those instruments are the basic ones use din rock. If you can play those instruments half as good as you can hold then, (or sit in front of them) you could be a star.

But if I was able to play any instrument, it would have to be either the bassoon, or the french horn. the former has the best tone out of any instrument, and the later is so versitle.

What?! Hobo told me it was slang for penis! I looked it up, and discovered it's actually a type of drum, too. :p

munchman 10-16-2003 07:24 PM

I think that Drums are the best, but thats because i play them 24/7 in a band that me and some of my friends made up.
