Being to lazy to click the link, I must ask if you mean spam text messaging is illegal, or all or it.

Spam text messaging is illegal not all, sorry about that, bad wording on my part. I seriously doubt that this law will affect anyone as most of these companies originate in America......

I dont think its gonna stop any industry from spamming... Just like the fail attempt to ban Alcohol in the Simpsons.

errrrm Joshy, that happened in real life too you know, prohibition era USA? You know Al Capone and that lot. It wasn't just a failure in the Simpsons, it failed in the USA too..

It would fail anywhere, me thinks. Tis a shame, too. I think the laws for alchohol use should more more of Germanys, though, where yu learn to be a responsible drinker before driving...

Anywho, the whole spam business is hardly going to cut down. The location of the countries selling and sending are scattered all over the world, usually with servers in other continents where laws in either the UK or US for that matter can't touch them.

Hence, we're stuck with spam. Anyways, as far as I know, it would still be completely legal to spam somebody if their email information was harvested off somewhere where there was either no privacy policy or the privacy policy discretely leaves out any restictions against sharing emails with other "partners".

I like spam. Sometimes it links to porn.

But its always going to be large sites affiliated with other sites, throwing recurring pop ups at you over and over again. Pop ups are hell, I tells ya.
