Are there maps in MO

I just read that there are very helpfull maps In MO but I read somwhere else that there arent any and getting lost is very easy what the hell is the truth.

Xavier 12-05-2001 03:59 PM

I hope there will be ! But I don't think there will be :(

Lantra 12-05-2001 04:10 PM

i think there are. mabye

Sl'askia 12-05-2001 04:12 PM

There are maps in the guide book I am using. Pretty good ones, they tell you where all the muds/fuzzles/egg crates/vendos/etc are, as well as point out where the start/exit locations are.

Lantra 12-05-2001 04:14 PM

i think moodokon man was talking about ingame maps just like ao.

Sl'askia 12-05-2001 04:17 PM

if he was then its a no....no ingame maps at all.

Xavier 12-05-2001 04:23 PM

Lantra 12-05-2001 04:29 PM

Sl'askia 12-05-2001 04:48 PM

Yep...I am using Primas. (odd I hate makind just one sentence posts...I feel like I'm spamming...)

Xavier 12-05-2001 04:52 PM

Cool I think I will buy it... is it all Official informations ???

Sl'askia 12-05-2001 06:39 PM

Yeppers. Tis the Offical Guide for MO.

Brew Master 12-05-2001 07:56 PM

Hmm, you really can't get lost in Munch's Oddysee...its the finding of some of the Mudokens and Spooce...a map can be useful then. But the gameplay is a matter of completing one area to get to another...this is not a bad thing though..

Yeah, you can't get really lost in MO. I guess if you're not too good at these types of games I would get it, so I know where all the Muds and fuzzles are and the best strategy for each stage.

How much are the guides, $10?

Cloverfield 12-06-2001 02:34 AM

I'd hate to see a map of the levels in Munch's Oddysee. I read somewhere that the levels aren't very large anyway, but if I knew where I was going... I would be annoyed. I love to explore (as I have said many times before)... and it would take some of the fun out of the game for me.

Abe Babe...

Alcar 12-06-2001 02:38 AM

Yeah, although there not big levels...

oh my gosh i said levels!

what i mean is 'regions' *Alcar uses this word very loosely*

But it would be cool to see them, even if the 'regions' are small.

If anyone is online at the moment go to ODDCHAT now!

Xavier 12-06-2001 08:53 AM

Yes but I like some cool pictures, I would play the game and then buy the guide, with the maps

paramiteabe 12-06-2001 10:42 AM

There shouldn't be maps at all its a puzzel game!

Xavier 12-06-2001 11:15 AM

No, I found maps a good idee...
I always searched maps of oddworld and there are official ones, I just WANT it !

Gluk Schmuck 12-06-2001 04:57 PM

The only problem with in-game maps is the fact that 'how can you see where you haven't been?'
But I'll look at the Prima guide when it comes out here, I'll also take a look at all the other game guides.

What's wrong with using levels? That's what they are :D.

Green means you've been there, red means you haven't, or something similar to that :D.

There are two types of people in this world, those that don't get lost and those that get lost any time, any place and any how. You are obviously the former and I, unfortunately, am the latter! I can get lost in my own house *lol* and I am always getting lost in MO

Alcar 12-07-2001 05:08 AM

What i meant was that oddworld may seem to be changing into a typical game like crash bandicoot.

'Levels'
