How rare is it to get a custom title? Do you have to have a certain rank first?

I'm not certain how outstanding a Forum member you have to be to get a custom title, but it's not just every Tom, Dick and Harry, you understand. You could have put this in your other topic, though.

The trouble with a title 'The Oddworld Artist' is that there are many, many great artists who draw, script and compose about Oddworld. Personally, I very rarely wonder down to the Oddworld art forum.

But then, I'm not privy to the precise mechanics of the Forums. You'd probably have to wait for Abe Babe or Alcar to reply here.

I do Oddworld art as well, but I haven't declared myself the Oddworld Artist, because that takes great responsibility in making it seem like I'm the best, even if I'm not. As far as I know, Sligslinger is the only one I know who's declared himself the Oddworld Artist. Is anyone else looking for the title? If not, then I think Sligslinger deserves it.

Well to get custom title... you have to been here a long time, a nice guy/girl, friendly, helping, be nice to me... and suck up to the mods and admins :p

I just think there needs to be some sort of way to decide who the oddworld artist of the forums is. Sligslingers work is excellent, but there are others who are great and just as good too with their own work.

Also when did things change where members had to become shaman status to receive custom titles? I thought it was based mainly on time spent here, a members actions, personality, etc. Or for members who are good, kind, and are actively involved. Or do all of these factors still play an overall role in when and if a member gets a custom title?

You have to sleep with Abe Babe or me if you want a custom title. Yeah, sorry but that's the way it is. Although some people come back for more... :p

Seriously, at this point of time in your forum life you shouldn't worry about a custom title.
