Reviews
In case anybody's interested, I have written reviews for Abe's Oddysee and Munch's Oddysee for the writing site Everything2, under the username BlakJak.
You can jump straight to them using these links: Abe's Oddysee Munch's Oddysee Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. |
nice but a know all that, but Welcome to the forums!!!!

Both those reviews I find both largely accurate and complimentary, and, more importantly, extremely well-written. It's quite refreshing to come across properly crafted works of scripture after the friendly casualness of forums, chat rooms and the like. You deserve an applause.
I must be feeling quite literate this evening. In my excitement to test out the typewriter that is at our house temporarily, I wrote a three-paragraph scene around a lake at night, with a shadowy figure ending his life. I hadn't intended for it to take place on Oddworld, but halfway through I imagined it made a nice introduction to a story. |
Nice job Direvus! We need more members like you! :fuzblink:

No really I commend you on some nice reviews youve got there. And welcome to the forums! Question though wheres Abes Exoddus? |
Oh, I forgot, you said Abe watching in on the Glukkons' secret board meeting in Abe's Oddysee. It was actually the annual board meeting, although I'm not sure whether it would be considered a secret if the Mudokons weren't told about it, which I imagine would be the case.

That to me was probably the best review I read thus far On AO and MO. Very nice!
Anyway, it probably was a secret to an extent in the fact that all of the Muds were in the dark on the matter. I mean sure there was the sign saying "Comming soon something new and tasty!", but I am pretty sure none of the Muds realized that New and tasty was going to be them. I mean they knew something new was going to be made but they didn't know that it was going to be them until Abe found out. So to an extent I am saying, the meeting was secretive in the way it was takeing place during late night hours. It had to have been, otherwise there wouldn't have been a good story to start off with. Its always cool when you have at the beginning of a great story, the "Bad Guys" putting together their evil, sadistic plans and the "would be hero" finds out. Thats a classic plot device used quite frequently in Oddworld. |
