You guys knew this had to come up sooner or later. So whaddya guys think?

I'm not completely sure yet. I don't know if this is a story of "an athlete who thinks he can have whatevr he wants" or "the case of the evil gold-digger"! We haven't even seen the evidence yet, so that's what I'm waiting for.

I did watch "Hannity and Colmes" today, and they were talking about whether or not it was fair that Kobe bake under the spotlight while this girl remain anonymous. I'm just gonna say that if this young women went public, everybody would say she was trying to get her 15 minutes, so that was a dumb question to ask.

Kobe Bryant is a star basketball player in the NBa, which is a basketball league in the US. He is facing charges of rape.

I think he didn't necessarily "rape" the girl, as I think there wsa no fight. But he still cheated on his wife, and is therefore a scum bag. If he faces any jail time, though, it will be only some months in a minumum security prison.

Not that I think he should be thrown in jail for cheating, but if he is found guilty he will not serve as harsh a sentence as any ordinary person, since he is a celebrity.

I keep forgetting that not everybody lives in america. My bad. I actually don't care if this topic is closed or not, since most of you guys don't know about the Kobe Bryant case.

That's sad though. Why would Kobe Bryan do such a thing, when he already has such a beautiful wife?

LOL, yeah I agree! I don't think he raped that women. I think she was over exaggerating or just saying that so she can get some money in her pockets. He did admit that he committed adultery, but said he didn't rape her.

That's strange, how can you guys not know who Kobe Bryan is? I don't think by him living in America does not really mean anything. It's like saying that I haven't heard of Saddam Hussein all because he's in Iraq.

I agree with some of what you said, Death, but there is sensationalist journalism all over the world. You are free to listen or not, you have every right to state your opinion or not care and act all indifferent. I am most indifferent here; Bryant is a stupid person, and he just has talent, no charisma or anything like Michael Jordan or Dr. J (2 other basketball players in case you are not aware)

I personally do not care whether he raped this woman, who was on that dumb television show, American Idol. It is publicity for the lawyers, for Bryant, for this girl he allegedly raped, for everyone involved. I say f*ck them all; donate a million dollars to charity while you're in the public eye.

eh, no! Beckham was a star in England before he came to the US. Kobe is jsut a star in the US, so why shoudl anyone know who he is outside of ther US.

The thing is, if the news in England talk bullshit, they get in major major super serious trouble. And in Canada too, they simply aren't allowed to just make stories up. But in America they exaggerate, contort, bend and twist up peoples words and stories.

News is news, but it can be used to ruin someone, destroy whole communities - anything. And people know this, and they do use this to their advantage.

I don't think he'll face serious jail time. He can afford good lawyers that can get him minumum jail time if he is found guilty.
I could be wrong, but I doubt he'll get life.
