Death! You didn't make your post all cool-like!
|
RIGHT. Here is the key or "legend" of my posting format:
1. This font color is for questions. 2. This font color is for comments or statements/suggestions etc. 3. This font color is for critism, or remarks. Most my posting is center aligned for aesthetical reasons only. Occasionally I will forget all this and get the format wrong, when this happens just bare with me, I'll sort it out. |
i got a small warhammer 40k "resistance squad" made up of:
24 Tau fire warriors 1 devilfish APC 3 Tau pathfinders 2 XV8 crisis battlesuites 12 drones 12 of the fire warriors, and 6 of the drones are white and red (attack squad) the other 12 fire warriors and drones are white and blue (defence squad) i'd say more but I cant be asked to right now. |

Good to see some other people here play wargames.
I play Warhammer fantasy. I've got around a 3000 point Orc&Goblin army. I'm planning on starting dwarves before the summers out. I could never play 40k to an extent like Fantasy, once you play Fantasy, 40k seems so much lighter. For me at least. I put a quote form the eyeofterror campaign website in my sig though. |
I used to be into 40k, but that was a while back. Nothing special.

It's increadibly easy to just walk past the front window, see the finished and painted models in the window and assume in your head that you buy them like that. This is where you walk in and buy the model, but realise that you have to build and paint them. This is where you see the games going on in the shop and decide to get some to play the game. This is when someone speaks to you and tells you all you need to know about it.
By now you are ready to buy the whole shop, whoever invented the scheme certainly knew what they were doing. I personally painted and painted and painted until I could do it like the pros, and now that I can it's opened up a whole world of competitions and photoshoots. Well worth the practice. |
I always liked the zergish alien guys, just the fact that you had a giant flesh eating army of doom realy makes ya happy...
|
Those "Zergish aliens" are Tyranids. And I hate the things - as much as they look cool, killing them is a nightmare. Without flamers and other such heavy weapons you're toast.
|
ya, aint it great?
|
 Yes it's absolutely wonderful!
|
I have Dark Omen for PC, but it stoped working when I upgraded my computer. It says it's '95 only and i've got XP!
It was good while it lasted... |
For 40K, deamonhunters is the way to go, man.
|
Unfortunately, I will have to dissagree with you there. Chaos (I find) suck. A good example of Chaos strategy would be: "FIRE, AND DO IT EXTRA RANDOMLY!".
Imperial gaurd have big tanks, the largest army in the Imperium, snipers, lots of different strategies and look much more realistic! They have basilisk tanks, hydra tanks, leman russ tanks and many other tanks that most other armies drool over. In summary, my Imperial Gaurd army could frag your Chaos Daemonhunters any day. With most of the work being done by my basilisk tanks shelling you from the other side of the board. :D |
Deamonhunters aren't part of Chaos...
Although they do fight alot alike. Speaking of Chaos, someone I know at the store I go to plays a Slannesh Chaos army, but there main colors are; red gore, and tentacle pink. We call em the froot loop marines. Don't think about that for more than 10 minutes, or blood will shoot out of your ears. |
:
I can't remember alot about them except that they look alot like space wolves and have lots of purity seals over everything. I don't like spacemarines, they are far too holy and pure for my liking. |
:
They're often called The Grey Knights. You're right, they do look somewhat like Space Wolves. However, they play differently from regular Space Marines. Holy? Not really. They're just the elite soldiers for fighting the Chaos. |
My Imperial Gaurd army are elite soldiers designed specifically for killing Necrons. They do a damn good job of it too.
