Star Trek
Well I am no treky but I do like Star Trek, mainly the Next Generation and the Original seris. Who is your favourite Star Trek character or episode? My all time favorite bad guy of the Next Generation seris was Q. Mainly here are my favorites
Q Captain Picard Deta Captain Kirk 7 of 9 (because she is hotter than hell!) Khan The Borg Mr Spock and Scotty and Checkoff or how ever you spell his name:D Mann I can remember when I was very little every Sat evening I was always watching eather the Next Generation or the Original seris. I still watch them today. There is nothing like a Sat evening watching Star Trek the Next Generation I never get tired of those shows. And the original seris sure it looked fake but you have to admit those fighting scenes with the Klingons were so memerable and funny as hell. For some reason I love how they did fighting scenes in Star Trek especially in Trouble With Tribbles when Scotty got mad at the Kilingons for calling the Enterprise a Garbage Scowl. I love that fighting scene. It turns into like a fight sort of like what you would see in Batman and Robin. |
Yeah, I'm not that big of a treky, but I do like to watch it occasionaly. NG was the best one! I liked Data, Captain Picard, Jordy, and Q the best out of all the characters in the whole show!

I dont like Star Trek. My dad likes it, but when he was really young thats what was on tv. So he grew up with it being on all the time, and thought it was great.
I however, never really was grabbed by it, or interested in it. |
Hello paramiteabe. I do not really like Star Trek, but it's okay I guess. Your nerdy joke was funny. I know some people who like Star Trek, but they are not nerds though. Only those that dress up and that are nerds.

star trek
I agree :fuzblink:

I used to know people like that, they would dress up in Star Trek coustumes every year for halloween, or just whenever! They would talk like it was real. They'd say things like "I forsed mindmeld is like rape!" and stuff like that. They were really LOSERS

Good to know pigeonholing and dismissive presumptions are still rife in the world.

Yea the only way to get rid of Star Trekies is to give them the Volcan Neck Bench like from Space Balls hehe:lol:
"What the hell are you doing?" "The Volcan neck bench!" "Well you got it too high a little bit lower!" "Like here?" "Yea!" |
I like Star Trek, it's a good show. It's one of few things I watch on TV (I don't watch a lot of TV). I enjoy Voyager the best, because they are exploring unknown space.
I really think it's kind of wrong to assume that "everyone" who likes Star Trek is a nerd. It's one of those stupid stereotyping things. I hate that. Unfortunately though there are some "nerdish" Star Trek fans out there, and they have given the show that kind of name. So if you don't like the show or haven't seen it, you instantly think "oh, that's nerdy". When really, it's not too much different to other sci-fi shows like Farscape, etc ... except that perhaps it uses more technical kind of jargon, and like Death said, it doesn't always resort to violence. And I actually have been to one Star Trek convention. I'm not afraid to say that I have. I did really expect to see lots of people dressed up, but there was only one person dressed as a Klingon. The convention was okay, and I got to meet a couple of the actors and get autographs. Although I did feel somewhat left out, as everyone was talking about the series on video, and I had only watched it on TV. I am not a huge fan to buy the videos or DVDs. I don't even care if I miss episodes (which often happens). Although, dressing up as characters isn't quite that bad, providing it's not done in some obessive way. In the anime community it's very accepted (possibly because of it's popularity in Japan). I actually will be cosplaying (which is the anime term for dressing up as a character) as Yuna from FFX next month at an anime convention in Melbourne. I'm making the costume myself, and it's working out well. :) Abe Babe... |

I like StarTrek. Captain James Tiberian Kirk (William Shatner) is/was really cool.

I got really into Star Trek since about two years ago till some time I can't remember. A few months maybe. No, maybe it was when Sky One started repeating TNG again, followed by Voyager again. Yes, that was probably it. I know DS9 is frequently dismissed as the least popular of the series, but I've never seen it, because Sky One just won't show it. Anyway, I haven't seen any of it in a few months. Nor The Simpsons, come to that. Oh, and why are you all so against nerds? It's no better than being against any other kind of pigeonholing.
Uh oh, townies! *whips out grenade launcher* |
