Report post- I want facts!
 

I've just noticed the Report Post button and I want to know what happens, and when to use it.

Does it just send an allert to the Mod. or can you add a comment saying why you're reporting it?

Is it to be used for reporting small things like spam/swearing/flamming or is it more for abuse/stalking/illegal activity ?

Its pretty much for any serious type offense, I suppose. All it does is send an email to each moderator of the paticular forum the post is located at, and you give an explanation of why you reported it. I don't thing theres any need for it in regular circumstances, seeing as mods will probably pick up anything that needs closed/deleted/warned.
