I actually have a scar (little one) in the middle of my forehead, but it isn't HarryPotter related :fuzwink:

paramud 07-06-2003 07:21 PM

it made me cry for some reason, killed a spider, and now I speak with a British accent....

I HATE HARRY POTTER!! HE IS THE BIGGEST FREAK IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!!!
i really do hate him

Joshy 07-07-2003 01:48 AM

The Harry Potter series is actually quite entertaining and kept me away from the comp.

oddling 07-07-2003 01:56 AM

It gave me insomnia, killed a spider, made me crazy, and I did get a scar from it, not on my forehead though, on my leg, my sis threw it at me o_O I'm on chapter 8 of the 5th book and am reading it right now. *had head stuck in book and fingers typing liek nuts at the same time* It also gave me a strange supernatural poetic talent, with all those big fancy words in there and crap. *looks up, 'food' in dictionary*

Harry Potter is a great series. I've been reading them since they came out, and the latest one kept me awake many, many nights reading it :)

I can't quite figure your comment out Max. Is it because Britain is wrongly used, as it is big and has many, some rather different, accents in it? Or what?

How can you hate a book character? He's not real you know?

I liked the Harry Potter books but I don't think I will read the new one. Reading doesn't appeal to me now. And I think I have outgrown Harry.

Wil 07-07-2003 09:36 AM

The many accents thing. Granted someone from another country will most likely not be able to tell the different between a Norfolk accent and a Norwichian accent, or even a Norfolk accent and a West Country accent... but is a British accent meant to be Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, Cockney or Queen's English. I'd wager the last one, but it still seems silly.

I've never read a Harry Potter book or seen any of the movies, but I saw the trailers, and was quite bemused about why they showed loads of bits that demonstrated very bad acting. Plus it's got Brian Blessed in, so I'm keeping my distance from them. The books I did decide once I wanted to read them, but to be honest I don't care for wizardry and magic. *yawn*

Gave you insomia. - Had that already mate
made you cry. - The acting is really bad
gave you a short temper. - I punched the screen when the opening credits came up
got you so mad you threw it across the room. - Well, the dvd case
got you arrested. - Ummm..... No
made you give yourself a scar on your forehead. - Don't think so
gave you schizophrenia. - My big friendly penguin buddy (the one who loves to pick daisys and jump from cloud to cloud), thought it Hairy Otter was a pile of shit.
made you crazy. - I'M NOT F*CK*NG CRAZY
stubbed your toe. - I still can't find my little toe
killed a spider for you. - No, I like spiders.

i ddin't mind the first 3 books, but number 4 was a big dissapointment. I haven't even bothered with the 5th book because my sisters finished in twice and i am yet to see it.

I was arrested... no wait that was uhhhh? Oh well. Oh yeah I tried one of his spells pissed off the police and was arrested.

oddling 07-07-2003 08:23 PM

You should hear my lil brother try and say Harry Potter spells. Haha, he goes around the house with a wooden spoon yelling, "galalusha!" I have no clue what spell he is trying to say, or what it does, but it's really cute. ^_^

Hello paramud. I have read all of the Harry Potter books. I do enjoy them so much. I would say that they may have given me insomnia also, because sometimes I have not gone to sleep because I did not want to put the book down!!!!!!
