Seriously, get Halo. Hands down has to be my favorite game on xbox. Plus many people dont really see the huge story inside of the game, but if you really take the time to look at things beyond that, or take the time to read the novels you will see. Good combination of combat, action, weapons, environments, excellent AI, difficulty levels, not to mention highly addictive multiplayer that I still play a lot, either 2 to 16 most of the time. (The multiplayer reminds me of much like goldeneye on n64, in how much I used to play it with my friends). I know people may disagree, but in my opinion one of the greatest games ever made, and one of the best FPS ever made. Like I said thats my opinion.

Also splinter cell. I recomend not to always use a gun for violence more as shooting out lights, etc. And using the element of suprise, and stealth. This is another really great game.

Ghost Recon, is also a very great game, much more squad based, and perfect for xbox live online play.

I have to think of some more, as you listed most of the ones I would have listed too.

Oh and what do you mean by chipped?:fuzconf:

Chipped means her Xbox has a chip in it, letting it play illegally copied games, or games from uncompatible countries.
So no Xbox Live for her.

Unreal Championship. Tho not as cool as Halo, it still rocks. At least, for the more experienced player. Cuz UC is much faster. I mean, in a multiplayer game with 3 friends, with bots on, and difficulty on normal, we all get fragged when we respawn. The gamespeed is huge. But fun though.

Another 1 is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I have it since a week or two, and, according to the map that came with it, I'm only at about 2 % of the game. MW is a hell of an RPG. Never seen a better one.

A third: If you like fast racing games, you're gonna like Quantum Redshift. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is way cool, and the cars (or should I say planes?) are awesome. On the Redshift difficulty, I've reached speeds of 1500 km/h

Totally awesome.

IF you're into twisted survival horror games, Silent Hill 2 is just the game. Very eerie atmosphere, and the enemies anre just, twisted... Very dark game.

Oh yeah, 1 tip, once you finished the game, play it again. Somewhere in the beginning you'll hear a motor running. Go check it out.

Well, that's about it from my side. Good luck with yer modded Xbox.

I have all my console chipped... even my dvd players and vcd players.. Chipping is way good, you get to play illegal copies of game for very cheap price.. in Hong Kong, you can get illegal games for like $10 Aus, they are originally worth like $90 or something. For consoles, i got so many games on playstation because its chip. In Australia, all the ps game are around $80-$100 and i aint rich enough to buy like 10 games.

If you like shooters, you should really go with Unreal Championship on X-Box Live. Or Return to Castle Wolfenstien... but something tells me you wouldn't like that. You still might want to rent it, though.

Get Morrowind. It takes a while to get in to, but once you're in the groove, you won't be able to quit.

Thanks Fax. I thought thats what she meant, but I wasnt entirely sure.

A couple friends of mine have either the chip, or modded their systems. I dont think I would unless I had another xbox. Mainly due to the fact I want to play on live, and have to install it in the next few days.

Is Unreal Championship as good as Unreal Tournament?
I love that game! Especially with the Chaos mod. Grappling hooks should be in every game.

SeaRex 06-24-2003 06:46 PM

Unreal Championship is basically a downsized version of UT2003 for the consoles. For example, it's in first person instead of third. It gets the job done, though.

Miss Odd 06-25-2003 02:29 AM

Oh, I forgot about HALO.. I love that game, but it's pretty hard.

<- Give me a break Facsimile, in Australia we dont have Xbox Live!!! And I don't have broadband, and believe me, I'm not getting it either! So I really don't have a reason not to have my Xbox chipped. And also I can play Multi-Region DVD's, so I can watch my beloved Anime and imported DVDs that you can't get in Australia.

Oh boo hoo. You're closer to civilisation than I.

Is UT2003 in third person?!!! Argh! Third person games are not fun.

ghost recon!!!!!! its the best for xbox live (in my oppinion). And its one of my top games.

Al the Vykker 06-25-2003 05:17 PM

I second that, as soon as I get xbox live all installed Im going to start playing ghost recon online. I should probably buy island thunder also.

But I cannot wait for Halo 2 online, covenant elites vs. the human spartans. Need I get specific with details. ;)

Hobo 06-25-2003 05:23 PM

If you haven't got it on another format i recomend SSX Tricky. Lots of fun:D

Mac the Janitor 06-25-2003 05:58 PM

Spinter Cell's probably the most fun I've had on the Xbox. Buy it.

Jacob 06-27-2003 05:01 PM

After playing Halo and completing it in 2 days i would say its just the same as any other FPS. Although it is vaguely good. Storyline kinda gets lost in gunfiring mayhem...

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is quite good, although it has too many unlockable extras and thus will get you quite bored of the game...

Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 is a thooper game. I highly recommend it, especially with the special moves and such were you can decapitate peeps and do other such shtuffs. Abit linear though, but the storyline is good...

Splinter Cell has great graphics and, on a whole, is a good game. Range of abilities is quite thooper, but abit too linear.

Spiderman: The move is a good game, good graphics, abit hard and lack of savepoints is annoying. Storyline is quite rubbish and the FMV's are appauling...

Genma Onimusha is a jollyfied game. Demon killing etc, thooperly graphics and great storyline, i'd recommend it.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is another good game, great graphics, great storyline, wide range of moves and vaguely amusing one liners. Again, recommended.

Out of all the above Legacy of Kain, Genma and Buffy are the best ones...

SeaRex 06-27-2003 06:03 PM

Genma is fecking hard... I wouldn't recommend it if you can't take a challenge. The controls are frustrating as well, but it is quite the rewarding experience when you beat it. It's also really short. Rent it first.

Too bad Genma 2 isn't on X-Box...

Wil 06-27-2003 06:55 PM

Is it just me or has no one recommended JSRF? Oh well. I hereby recommended Jet Set Radio: Future as a great Xbox game. Anna had a very amusing quote about its excellence, but I can't be arsed to find it.

Abe's son 06-29-2003 05:29 PM

Panzer Dragoon: Orta.

Little crazy at first but you'll easily get used to it. All the voice's are in japanese though...or german...or what ever the hell language that is...

It's panzerese. I thought it was cool that the game had its own language.

Gah... can't believe I forgot Orta and JSRF. I love those games.
