Games That Time Forgot...
I'm sure some of us had games like this. You hear about it in a game magazine, you go out and buy, play it, and then when you tell your friends about it they just give you this puzzled look.
Have you ever had that good game that only you seemed to know about? Post it here. Some of mine. Starshot, Space Circus Fever N64 Well...your this guy called Starshot...and he is an act in the Space Circus, he was sold off to them from Killer Expo. He was designed to be a "starcrusher" a fighter that could shoot "stars" but he had to much free will, so they got rid of him. Specs: A little short, but the imaginitave levels and huge number of NPCs kept it fresh. The controls and camera could be frustrating at times. 4/5 stars Furfighters Sega Dreamcast This evil cat guy, Viggo, wants to take over the world. The Furfighters are a group of soldiers(theyre animals) that were elite fighters in the war with Viggo several years ago. Viggo comes back, amd steals theyre spouses and theyre children, with the hope to eliminate them as a threat. So, you go thru the levels, resque you friends, and ultimatly save the world. Specs; Sounds like a stale game, but the storyline and the very original characters and levels were good. The game is a 3rd person shooter, which is very well done. 4/5 stars Ill post more later perhaps. |
Shivers 1 and 2... but especially 2!
Best. Puzzle. Games. Ever. |
The majority of my friends don't know jack about games, anyways.
I could probably ask 90% of my class if they knew what either Half-Life, DDR, Soul Calibar, Metal Gear SOlid or Halo was about and I could recive blank looks. Honestly... the compromises for being friends with non gaming people. |

ABSOULOUTELY NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT WOLFCHILD ON SEGA MEGA DRIVE! It was pratically all I grew up with! That and Mortal Kombat... No one also knows about a game on the Atari, Gremlins 2, which sucked but no one knew about it surpisingly.

Let's see. Two games I always loved, which I doubt anyone would remember anymore are Equinox and Solstice. Equinox was on the SNES and Solstice on the original NES. They were released by Sony Interactive before Sony bought out the PSOne. I loved these games, fully of exploration. They were my favorite games when I was a teenager.
Of more recent games, I'd have to say Squaresoft's Vagrant Story. Everyone always remembers Square for Final Fantasy, etc ... but they don't seem to remember Vagrant Story. This RPG is awesome ... an interesting battle system, and more exploration than the FF games ever had. Even a lot of the Square fan sites don't mention this game. Abe Babe... |
I remember one game i played on over a friends house, i had never heard of it before, and i had never heard of it since, but it was called Boogermam. I don't suppose any of u guys had heard of it.

"Conker, honey, care for another bounce?" Absolutely hilarious!
Einhander and Raystorm, those games are great. And any Monster Rancher game. |
Vector Man for the Sega Mega Drive (or Sega "Genesis" in the US). Constructor for the PC and PSone (I am a master at that game!), and lastly Tanktics, absolutely mad game and funny as hell! I can't find these in shops at all now, all my mates agree that all these games rock, and they wish they could get copies. Someone ought to bring out a whole pack of forgotten games, ones that never made it but were fantastic anyway...
I mean how unlucky is that? to make such a good game and then have it missed by all the charts and gamers! Reese |
Vectorman was the shiz-wiggy, my brudda. Too bad... I could never find a copy of the sequel.
|
there was a sega game about a comic book... can't remember it
vector man was the shiznit! they're making a new one for PS2! |

And the main character had a pet rat he called "Roadkill". Weird game, and a bit short, I had a freind who was really addicted to it though. Didn't you have to fight in the sewers or something? I can only vaguely remember it, it was such a long time ago now... Vectorman was such an ace title for its time, I am not suprised to hear that its being sequalized onto PS2, hope they don't ruin it! Reese EDIT: Does anyone remember psycho pinball? I can remember playing the free CD you got with that, and acidentally having the volume up too loud. I had Machine Head doing their worst at about 500 dessabells! |
Ooo! Double post, sorry!
I just remembered the Desert Strike, Urban Strike and Jungle Strike games. They really rocked! they were so realistic too! You had to pick up fuel and stuff, and shoot at terrorists, and you got to fly over the whitehouse and rescue the president and other cool shit like that! Wicked game! Reese |
