Custom Titles
 

Hey, could you guys make it so members could have there own custom titles when we reach a certain post count? Like 2,500 or something.

It's also nice that you guys can give out custom titles and all, but can you do so without changing the appearance of the stars? (You know, they go all red 'n stuff.)

Just thought I'd through an idea out for discussion... pros and cons and whatnot.

We can, as vBulletin allows that. But we don't change anything without a few more members input.

The problem with the star changing is, that when you get a custom title, the stars will no longer go up if you lets say, go from 2000 to 4000 posts, they will always stay the same, unless an Administrative staffer changes them for you... Which isn't really ideal for Abe Babe or me...

However, in vBulletin 3 there might be some changes that I have read about stars etc, so, maybe in the future!

That would be cool. I wouldn't like a cutom title if my stars that I actually earned weren't kept.

Yep i can fully agree with that fax, i think we should have something that signifies how devoted we are................


Or prehaps you could gain a custom title for being usefull etc. but only with 1 star, and the more your usefull the more stars you get..........

One thing to do when vB3 comes out is tomake custom title stars go up in rank based on user posts, that way we won't have to change them every time.

on one of the OLD avp forums i went to, the avatar changed with the rank, and when u got 1000, you could get a custom avatar and sig. But... you acould have any custom title you wanted... I thought i would just say that.

This discussion looks familiar.

I kinda like it the way it is, with custom titles being a special merits thing...

I prefer being able to choose my own title. I like the whole star idea, but I hate these titles.
