PC or Not
Will the new game be out on PC or not. Can't find info on the official site at all on this subject
|
No, it won't. It's an Xbox Xclusive.
|
In other words it's 'exclusive' until the X-Box sales start to wain then magically it appears on the PC/PStation and any other formats they can think of to regain their development costs.

it will never go to sony.
period. i could see it going to pc, but sales would be pretty limited as you would need a really powerful pc to run munch. |
:
So ok for the principe, but not ok for the prise |

Mudokon101... |
well, then let me correct myself.
you WOULD need a fairly powerful, and top of the line pc to run munch. It's been brought up elsewhere. By the time if/when they DO release it for pc, i'm sure comps will be a bit more up to date. i was talking about if they released it now, not many people would be able to play it. Another thing, it would be kind of silly to release it for pc, i mean microsoft owns the quintilogy now, oratleast the majority of it, so why even bother release it on pc? it would just cost them more to reformat it..and blah blah..whatever. |
But they already have screens for ps2.
![]() |
Nooooo they are old screens...
Lorne found it a bit... no good enough, so he whipped on the Xbox: better I think he don't want to whip again on the PS2 |
If you wanted to play it on PC you'd probably need to get an XGPU because I heard it was very very powerful, i.e. more powerful than any other GPU.
A PC launch is much more likely than a PS2 or PS3 launch because the Xbox is basically a PC in a black box and the PS2 is much harder to program for than the Xbox and they already abandoned the PS2. Since the PS3 isn't going to be launched for several years it would be pretty stupid to launch a game several years after it was launched on another system. Case study. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 was launched on PSX, PS2, Xbox, GBA (GC?). They aren't going to put THPS3 on the PS3 when it comes out, they will put THPS6 (estimate) on the PS3 (if the THPS franchise is still profitable) because THPS3 will be old by then. You don't see AO or AE being anounced for the Xbox, do you. |
Is Hand of Odd coming out on PC?
![]() |
some say yes, some say no.
since no one has utilized the online play capabilities of the xbxo, you never know. |
whats hand of odd
|
:
The Xbox servers will go up in the Summer. |
lets see, after MO there will be 3 others games exclusive to Xbox:
Munch's Exoddus Hand Of Odd Squeek's Oddysee Ok it's on Xbox |
Munch oddysee??
Pc or not??? Well in oddworld home page you can find that in als' rebah and tea it says that the pc version has still to be anounced. And well, there's a 40 % chance ODDWORLD: MUNCH'S ODDYSEE will COMe FOR PC. But, on that page no one said why at first it was cancelled But if it's comming i'll guess you will have to buy a new computer or just buy the xbox game + the xbox. Munch 003, i don't know about anyone else, but i really would prefer not to be called dumb..
thanks. Xavier, uh hand of odd isn't part of the quintilogy, it's going to be in the 'Habitale' series. Just thought i'd let ya know... Gluck, aren't people going to need a cable internet hook up to play online games? on the box i mean.. |
:
Yeah, those special 750-800 Mhz computers are going to be tough to find, especially now that they're selling 2.2 GIGAHERTZ computers. That's 2200 Mhz for all us dummies. And I'm pretty sure whether it's cable or not, the XBox is going to require some kind of broadband (cable, DSL, etc.). |
well, i think it will be a bit of a mistake in the first place to make any oddworld game an online game...but that's just my opinion...

GS so i'm guessing you like the idea of online play being introduced to the oddworld series?
i think it will be okay at first, but you'll eventually get trouble makers, and then..ah whatever. |
:(
BAH! I'll have to buy the XBOX then:fuzsad:
":fuzsad:" -> cause it's so darn expensive, (me poor student) better start saving up then cause I'm a faithfull Oddworld™ fan and I can't miss one single Oddworld™ game... AH THE HUMANITY!!! |
Guys, guys, guys (girls, girls girls). Enough. Please. MO on PC. No. Not going to happen. Get over it people. Xbox or no MO. That's it. No PS2 version. Xbox version has way too many polygons per character for PS@ and nobody would step back and de-grade the graphics for another console. Xbox or dust. Take your pick.

Sure it will happen... Just dont hold your breath waiting for it...
Microsoft after all is a software company and once you have a powerful enuff computers out there in the world all you have to do is make the right software... The troble is that they wont for at least 4 and a half years because they are making more money out of it being a Xbox exclucive... And that dosnt mean that their holding back ether. You see most computers are not powerful enuff to run Xbox games yet so it would be uneconomical to wright the programing and work out the bugs to let the few that could do it be able to. It will be cheeper for them to achive this when they are closser to it being more reallistic... And that means passing on savings to their comsumers- YOU!... And once the Xboxs 5 year life span comes to a end and Microsoft will bring out the XboxX (a made up name) and they will have a heap of old Xbox games that they might as well make un-exclusive so they can rake in more mollar... But not to Sony or Nintendo because they would not wont to pass on their software to them to them because then people dont need Microsoft stuff and they are all most premoting the enermy... Instead they will make a Xbox Dashboard that you can install on any 'Modern' computer (for a small exorberdent fee) like their other great sucsess 'Windows' and play the 'old' Xbox games (an't nastelger grand?). In the mean time the XboxX will be able to also play the 'old' Xbox games plus a hole heap of new ones to powerful for the Xbox. So people who wont a 'modern' gaming experience will buy it and not the Xbox Dashboard opperating system. |
