Pictures at Dear Alf
Currently at theDear Alf section of the Oddworld sites, there are some pretty cool pictures in the top left corner of the page.
Picture 1 shows an intern holding some kind of gun. So they aren't merely Vykkers Labs assistants after all. Picture 2 doesn't really reveal any new imformation but it's still a pretty cool pic, showing that the tiles on the ground of this part f Vykkers Labs form the Lab's logo. Picture 3 is a pretty cool one also, it shows some unfortunate fuzzles after being experimented on by Vykkers, each suffering in different ways. Oddguy pointed these out to me and I thought those of you who hadn't seen them might like to, so there they are. Does anyone know if these pictures have been changed recently or if they have been there all month? |
Yes they change every month. I alreaddy saw this picts. I think OWI sould make some more picts every month. I love collecting OW picts

I don't remember the Intern one, but I do remember the Munch and Fuzzles ones being there from the start of the month when the last update went up.

That Intern does have a gun but I don't think its the kind of gun thats used for ehem "killing" anything.
Looks more like a tranqualiser, or a pee shooter. But this is oddworld we're talking about here so it could be an electro magnetic pulse rifle or an antigravitational weapon. As for the other two picks, I've seen those scenes in the passport to oddworld movie. "If Vykkers labs didn't test it on fuzzles then they're testing it on you".  |

Glorious pics, those -- the art is what first attracted me to the Oddworld series, and the main reason I keep replaying them (or using the lame "movie view" code if I feel lazy). The funky-yet-adorable characters far outshine any mere eye candy, though... |

OY! about picture #3... with the fuzzles, i dont think they are going to be experimented on... these fuzzles look wild and uncaged..the caged ones are all "fuzzy" and what not but these fuzzles are armed with shields and sticks behind the're backs.. i think they are about to make an attack on the vykkers...BWAHAHA.. seriously though.....

i just relized something.. the fuzzle to the right has a dotted line under his eyes that says "cut"... but notice how he has yet to be cut there. the fuz to the left has tools behind his back... i think these guys are trying to escape.

Dakkan I have no idea why you're asking that in this topic, but I don't think it's possible to fade colours using MS Paint.

That gun the Intern has is a "Snuzi". It fires hypodermic needles full of some kind of anesthetic at you.

I'm sure those Fuzzles have been experimented on. Native Fuzzles are all furry and fuzzy... as they are not quite intelligent creatures like Mudokons, Sligs, Glukkons, etc. I'm not sure if "not intelligent" is the right word for it, but they are more like wild animals (such as rats, etc) that have some brains.
Thus the Vykkers have experimented on them to change their appearance and what they look like. Thus the different skins and stuff sticking out of them, etc. When we see furry Fuzzles in Vykkers Labs, these have not been experimented on as yet. Hmmm... those pictures are certainly going back... makes me realize that the screen resolution/quality on this monitor is a lot better than my old monitor... they kind of look low quality compared to how they looked on my other monitor.
