hmmm I think it's due to the new "classics" collection (called platinium in the US)
MO is now realy cheap |

Yes, its in the top 20... but really, X-Box doesn't have that many awesome-ish titles in the first place...

Ghost Recon is excellent, albeit a bit glitchy.
What amazes me about australian retail shops is that they don't get american whole salers...then you could be buying games [at a raised price, obviously] before they even 'came out' there. |

It's obviously to stop premature game release and bootlegging.

probably the same reason as for film, commercial and release dates

With my guess its probabaly just some sort of stupid security thing like "quote on quote" (someones going to rig a machine or a game when they ship the games over seas to places like Australia. But who knows why they do that.
Its rediculous really and a bad way I think to run business. I mean if your going to make a profit on a product such as X-Box games or films wouldn't it be logical to allow these American products be sold around the world at the same time it is released in the States? Think how much money you would make then if it was like that. Why does it have to be strictly the States first, why not everyone at the same time? That is one thing I don't understand about my country. We release movies and games on a certain date but the rest of the world has to wait. It just doesnt work I think. And then you got the Zone protection on these games like what you said Abe Babe. I mean they are the same games right? So whats the difference? They are the same games and the same systems the States have only sold in Australia. It just doesn't make any kind of sense really. How does Australian systems, and games differ from their counter parts? That doesn't make any sense to me at all. I mean if its the same game and system then tell me where is the harm in putting American products in your products? If its the same game and system then why not you know? Paramiteabe... :fuzblink: |
Kung Fu Chaos is #6!?
Jeez, abuncha kids form a 3rd world country could make a better game with 5 milk cartons. Kids that had never even SEEN a milk carton. On the subject, glad to see MO is still movin' and shakin'. |
