A slig that can't be possessed by Abe!
I think sligs are starting to get smarter as time goes on. For me I balieve that we are going to see sligs come equiped with some sort of special new and improve armor that reflects Abe's possession ability. You think that might happen later on down the road? I mean we already seen Armored sligs and Big Bros. That armor might become Abe proof one day. What do we do then? How do you think we would dispose of the sligs if we can't possess them? Theres an interesting challange I think.
How many think we will eventually see Sligs have special armor that will reflect Abe's abilities? Sort of like the new armor itself is like a possession orb. So when Abe chants near a slig the armor on the slig releasess the electrical zap at Abe like what the orbs do. But there can be a sort of down side. As Abe chants and the slig reflects the energy through his armor the zap from the armor also gives the slig a little jolt. It doesnt kill them it just shakes them up and warns them that Abe is in the area. That would be funny. I can see a whole room filled with these kind of sligs and Abe trying to possess them but cant because all the sligs are releasing jolts of electricity. Talk about torture for the sligs. It might work because sligs are alweys lazy and are alweys a sleep on the job why not? They can use a little jolt every now and then. It would be like a chain reaction type deal when the sligs go on an electricuting rampage. They can be called Reflective Sligs. So basically you have Abe getting electricuting along with the sligs. That would be kind of funny I think. (Don't ask why I did this because I don't understand it myself. I just got carried awey here with this idea hehe:D.) |
you are phenomenal, you are asking questions about problems that doesn't exist yet...
honestly I prefer the security orbs that aren't included into the sligs armo, cause your idee will make the game too hard |
But isn't that the point, a rediculausly challanging gameplay?
It won't be too hard you just find some other means of getting pass that point like sneaking or useing machinery or something. |
well... I dunno I'm not sure the Magog will pay for an idnividual zapper as it is a lot more easier ans cheeper to put one zapper in one room for all the sligs
sorry but I can't like your idea |
Chant suppressers are hard enough.
|
What about special implants that prevent some sligs from being controlled? Sort of like a chip or that kind of thing in Metal Gear, the implants that stop psychics from reading your mind.
Maybe they could have like a boss slig or something that has the chip. OR maybe the gluks will eventually all get the implant. |
Well if the armor has some type of robic or mechanical abilitys then Munch would probably be able to possess it.
|
I don't see why not. If anything these these kind of sligs would be guarding the birthing complex of Skillya. Which could make it really tough to get into the birthing complex of the queens. who knows.
|
PA do you think the sligs would give a rats cookie about Skillya?
Do you actually know the abusive treatment that she gives them. If my mother ever treated me like that, do you think me and my brothers will protect her. Well, other slig queens are probably fair, but Skillya is probably the worst slig queen and the unfairest. Well, the main topic, having a slig with possession proof armor, that probably would make sligs have an advantage. But how about Munch's zapping sonar, or Abe's close quarters fighting. However, the sligs may be equipped with a weapon that may also destroy Abe's possession orbs. You never know |
The whole point in Abes Exoddus and Oddysee of having those chant suppressors was to eliminate parts of the game that would be too easy if you were able to posess the slig. Every part of the game is put there to make it challenging or fun, so there is no real reason to complain about this sort of thing.
The slig armour idea is GOOD, but there wouldn't really be alot of point to it. Rember that slig technology isn't very sophisticated, as it has to be mass produced during times of conflict efficiently. Slig armour gives them protection against fire from posessed sligs. This is an upgrade developed since the disasters that the Magog encountered with Rupture Farms and Soulstorm brewery. Slig armour that could be 100% everything proof would be good in areas where you need to walk through a minefield, or in areas where you have to run away from a slig. But anti posession armour is just waaaaay too out there. I have just pictured in my head, a level where munch has to run away from a persuing big bro slig in armour, and munch has to run around and dodge mines but the slig can walk right through it. This would be ultra hard because once the slig steps on one mine the rest all go off at once... Remeber that the game is supposed to be hard, that way it takes longer to complete. most anPersonally, I found MO really easy, after completing it in a few hours. The only thing I really found challenging was the camera angles, as I do with most 3rd person games. The only annoying thing with MO is trying to stand behind mudokens in a certain position and trying to pick them up with dodgy camera angles. But there you go, you didn't ask for a review from me, but thats what I think, sligs are there as an obsticle, and should therefore be difficult to pass/kill. Reese |
