I'm back with new art (manga, stuff like that)
 

I recently started drawing some manga style characters. I haven't had much practice, so don't mock me if you think it is crappy. But anyway, here's number one in EXTREMELY ROUGH FORM. I did it straight in pen so if there are any errors, I couldn't correct them. I couldn't use liquid paper because I drew it during Geography class :D. Anyway, the hair is in the blue biro colour since one of my friends accidentally drew a stroke of blue. Anyway, remember... EXTREMELY ROUGH FORM.

I liked it CG. Apart from the face it was very Metal Gear Solid. Like the drawings in the manual. Which I loved. Do not redraw it! It is good like that.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I practiced anime style for years, and I never got that good. If you're going to make a manga, I would suggest leaving it in that rough form... that would make it very unique.

Anyway, you seem to understand anatomy fairly well. From fellow Artist, nice job.

Here's another one. Drew it with coloured pencils but then decided to smudge the pencil marks to make it smoother. Man, this is where I wish I had Photoshop. The style is based on that used in Sailor Moon.

That is extrordinary good work you have there Canned. Keep that up and you will make a great cartoonist or conceptual artist someday. Thats very professional.

Here's a sketch that I drew up with my graphic pencils and some coloured pencils. It was originally meant to be Konoko from Oni but then I stuffed it so it doesn't quite look like her. It's a sketch and I don't have a scanner (since my parents won't let me get one) so the quality is a bit crappy.

I've already picked out a couple of problems... The ear is a bit too small, I've messed up the light sources, the armpit area of the right (our right) arm looks weird in this version and there looks like there is a problem with the collarbone + right shoulder.
I'm sorry about the eyes. Using the digital camera took away the detail in the eye.

But seriously, you do good work. Your shadowing is exellent. I can't shadow worth beans.

But you gotta admit, the similarity to the girl and Spike is pretty darn close.

Lol. You're right Dipstikk. They do sorta look alike.

Ok, here yahz goes. A good fanart sketch of Konoko from the game oni. It no longer looks like Spike from Cowboy Bebop.

NOTE: The entire jacket is supposed to be grey but when I played around with the contrast, gamma etc. to get the lines clearer (the paper looked purple at first), some of the shading went white. Anyway enjoy.

I was reluctant to post this one... since it didn't turn out so great in the digital camera. I hate my stinkin' coconut digital camera!

Also, this is one of the things I would have liked to CG... but I don't have photoshop :crying: or painter etc. :crying:

I like that last one you posted, the use of darker colors is magnificent. God, I still just abolutely love that first one you posted, the rough pen scketch... it's my favorite.
