Exam or Assignments?
If you got the chance to choose doing Exams and Assignments, which one would you choose?
If you choose Exams you dont have to do Assignments. If you choose Assignments you dont have to do Exams. |
Well I know how hectic things get when you have an exam, myself being fresh outta high school and stuff. Definitely assignments!
In exams, you're at the desk with your pen in your hand and you have to squeeze all that knowledge outta your brain, within a specified time limit. With assignments however, you're told exactly what you need to do, and have a desirable amount of time to do it. You can also work at your own pace. 5 Assignments vs. Physics, English, Maths, IT and Visual Arts Exams. I've made up my mind:D |
Hello Happyguy. I would prefer assignments. You have time to come up with good work and can research if needed, or can be more creative. I do not really like the theory side of things and usually exams are just based on a lot of theory.

Assignments, basically the time you have to do assignments is longer. Even though I always leave mine to the last minute.

Assingments are the best because you can find all the info form the net and stuff so you don't have to use your brain but exams, first you study then the day you have the exam you ferget everything so then you have to waste your time before school studying. And even if you know every thing it all goes away as soon as you enter the exam room. Why cant they just give us drugs then while where out in fanatsy land they open our brain and extract the information and see how much we have learned then give us a mark.

Assignments because I feel that is more closer to what the real world is like. I mean if you get a professional career like being an conceptual artist they will not put out an exam based on that. You go to work basically to do assignments. The test is the assignments. Thats where I balieve the true learning comes to play. I don't like tests not only because they suck but they are completely pointless. And if I was an instructor I would not have a test to base your grade on. I would base my grade on how well you perform your assignments because just that alone will make me judge on how good you are at the given materal. There is no need for testing. And besides in the real world your not going to be put at a table with what 1 hour to squeeze information that you learned over the past year without any reference materal to rely on. If you are in such a situation then there is no problem because you would have all the reference materal you need to fulfill the task. Like I say testing is pointless.

Exams because I always leave important stuff till the last mi nute even though I don't have anything better to do. God, i better Work harder when it comes to my GCSE coursework!

Assignments...
With Exams, you have to stud and study and lose all your free time... With assignments you can just surf on the web/check the encyclopedia (sp?) and write down what you need... No need to stress if you have forgotten anything... |
This is one of the things that I don't miss since I left school. I really didn't like either. But I guess Assignments. Yes you can be creative and stuff and have more time, but the main reason is you get more of a chance with Assignments. If you blow an Exam, you could be screwed because of one bad day, but with assignments you will usually get a second chance, even if it is just a draft copy. But yeah, there is just too much pressure in Exams.

After breaking a few things, i finaly made myself click on one.I choose Ass-ignments. Even know i would much rather kill someone then do any of them.
