OWI+E3 2003=Oddworld 4 revealed?

Do you think that Oddworld Inhabitants will show the first Oddworld 4 footage? I'm about 80% sure they will! No better time to show off a new game then E3. It would be risky not to. I sure hope they havn't been slacking on the development. I won't get my hopes up too high, but then again... what else would they be showing off? Not much longer now!:D :D

Forbidden Paradise 03-22-2003 12:05 AM

Well if they did it would be more than enough to feed us hungry and *ahem* loyal fans. Still my hopes are much higher on Oddworld 4 footage than a Starcraft 2 release.

paramiteabe 03-22-2003 01:15 AM

Yea I too hope they will show just a little footage to make us fans all excited. As optimistic as I am I am sure they will. At least we hope. ya know?:fuzwink:

They have to do it:
1 why pay for a stand at E3 if you have nothing to show?
2 where else can they announce it better
3 it is realy time they announce something

I'm 80% sure they will reveal us their new game at E3 2003

Hopefully they will show OW4 at E3, however I must make it clear to everyone that OWI never said that they would be there. What they said was, that they are not confirming that they would or would not be there.

Which means, they might not be there. However, if they are then they are to be in the Microsoft Booth.

hmmm Alf edited his post about the E3 event

:

Dear Fans,
Let me clarify. Oddworld is not listed as an exhibitor by e3 because we are part of the Microsoft and has always been part of the publishers booth. (GT, Infogrames and now Microsoft).

I am not confirming that we are exhibiting at e3 in the Microsoft booth. I'm just confirming the reasons why we are not listed as an exhibitor.

Make sense?

Alf
so maybe they will not bet there?
those guys are realy cruel :fuzsad:

after some search I found this:

W4 - Working Smart: Understanding the Decision-Making Process at the Highest Levels
Tuesday, May 13, 2003, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Room: 411

How do major developers and publishers approach the game production process? What criteria determine whether a game gets green-lighted or shot down when first pitched? How do decision- makers determine a game’s budget, the size of the development team, the production schedule, and best strategy to roll out the product in foreign markets? How do the top publishers and developers deal with delays in production, changing consumers’ tastes, or unexpected glitches in the process? This panel will ask some of the industry’s biggest players to discuss how a game goes from idea to finished code. Hear the stories behind Hitman, Harry Potter, the Oddworld legacy, and Neverwinter Nights. Be better at your business by hearing how the biggest players in our industry approach the full spectrum of project approval and management.

Lorne Lanning, President and Creative Director, Oddworld Inhabitants
Ray Muzyka, Joint CEO, BioWare Corp.

but still no info about an oddorld stand...

Cloverfield 03-24-2003 04:53 AM

E3 also has speakers and conferences and workshops. So that's what Lorne is listed as. Lorne also was a speaker at last year's E3.

As Alf already has told us, if they are going to exhibit, they will be part of Microsoft's stand. Just like they were in 2001. Microsoft has a very large stand/area at E3 which often combines many of the games that they publish. If OWI are there, I doubt you'd find a listing on any website, and wouldn't find out until the time comes or if Alf/OWI tell us.

SeaRex 04-13-2003 09:18 PM

Ack... there is nothing good for X-Box this year. Sure, there's Halo 2, but that won't come out until next year.

The only thing that looks remotely interesting is Brute Force... but only because it's going to be co-op on Live.

Xavier 04-14-2003 04:21 AM

SeaRex, Oddworld 4 is still planned for the end of this year...

Fez 04-14-2003 08:41 AM
