Are you watching the war?

Well have you been watching the war?

Mann this is incrediable. Its like something you would see in the movies especially about over an hour ago. All our bombs and missles have only attacked Government strongholds and offices. Very precise.

Fez 03-21-2003 04:58 PM

i know, jeez... war aint what it used to be!!!

MojoMan220 03-21-2003 05:02 PM

You have to admit it is pretty exciting.

Fez 03-21-2003 05:03 PM

yeah, ya get that feelin...

Tori 03-21-2003 06:52 PM

As a American I make sure I am up dated on every thing that is going on

mitsur 03-21-2003 07:44 PM

Its like Doomsday for over there.I hope the innocent people are safe though.

Joshy 03-21-2003 10:15 PM

I heard that one of the missle miss its target, it hit the border of Iran or something.

munchman 03-21-2003 11:09 PM

Yeah i have been watching it.

I have been waiting since it started to see someone say on tv that Saddam is dead. Some people think he is, but others think he is not. I really think this is the way that the Arm forces should do this. The way i see it if we keep doing what we are doing we will get ride of Saddam and his sons and the other leaderships of Iraq, and we will get in there and help the IraqI people have a better life.

Forbidden Paradise 03-21-2003 11:11 PM

At least saddam's presidential complex (Iraq) was up in flames. They say those bombs can hit targets the size of a pinhead.... now that's precision, especially when you count for wind resistance.

The war is the only thing I can watch, because every channel has its own coverage or is borrowing coverage from it's sister stations over in the US. That and the children's programs they put on. We get a lot of flak over here by the government about how we should educate the children about the war, so it makes sense that they give them some tv time for entertainment once a day.

paramiteabe 03-21-2003 11:22 PM

Well the scary thing is that we havent seen anything quite yet. That was just the beginning of whats to come. And from what I understand there are a lot more harder mission ahead of us as we creep more and more closer to Begdad. Mann the battle for Begdad is going to be something. Scary isn't it! But cool:eek:

I am also surprised to here how low the casulties are. Only 2 American solders killed in combat and I think there were 4 more who were in that helecopter crash with 16 British solders.

That is unfortunate to here but for a war that is progress. It means we are quick and we have well trained solders in our military. So if any of you have a family member or knows anybody who is over there I prey for them to return home safely with your families. Because my cousin is over there now and he is on an Aircraft carrier as a medical officer. At least he is not on the front lines but still.

It was actually 4 Americans and 8 British soldiers in that crash.

Yes low casualties are a good sign, especially when these days it's all up to the man with his finger on the button... I was watching the telly this morning and they were talking about what could have happened to saddam if he had no body doubles. It showed an Iraq leader waving to the crowd from a car during a parade. All of a sudden 20 or so guys jumped out from the crowd with tommy guns and uzis and started emptying hundreds of rounds into the car. If only...

Abe's son 03-22-2003 12:20 AM

God its like a joke over there. We haven't even reached the major centers and there already blown to pieces by our cruise missles

oddling 03-22-2003 01:01 AM

My teacher said they came out with a new bomb called an E bomb. It doesn't blow up or kill anyone, but it destroys anything electronic within a 10 mile radius I think. They're afraid to use it though because of the damage it will do. Everything within a 10 mile radius that even has anything remotely to do woth electricity will be destroyed and have to be replaced. Wow. Hey, at least it isn't killing anyone. I see the news and stuff and think, "Wow, thats real. Thats real people getting blown up, and it's not a movie." It's scarey to think about it because those people there could have just as easily have been us. All the schools are takign percautions and stuff. This is scarey $@%* going on here. But if we have to go to war, then we must. And if we must, then I say bring it on ragheads!

E-Bomb? Isn't that reminiscent of an EMP?

Electro Magnetic Pulse. That also disables any electronic equipment, because it frys circuits and renders them useless. Aren't they the same thing, or am I mistaken? It's usually caused by the blast waves of Nuclear weapons. And EMP isn't new.

Fez 03-25-2003 04:22 PM

yeah, power down, without the...mess...hehe good idea!, but i think the good 'ole nutron bomb should be used in the bunkers.

goddamn it! some American just threw a frag grenade into a tent of troops...our troops! what was he thinking!

Jacob 03-25-2003 05:46 PM

What is with you Americans, the Iraqi soldiers can do f*ck all and laugh whilst YOU lot f*ck around and blow US up. Honestly, the words "Stupid" and "American" are coming together with increasing speed...

Hobo 03-25-2003 06:39 PM

A patriot missle nearly shot down a U.S aircraft, so the pilot blew up the patriot. God The US really need to update their patriot missles. First the tornado now this!

Forbidden Paradise 03-25-2003 07:52 PM

Alas, two more helicopters have crashed. There are more accidental casualties then actual firefight casualties... that doesn't look good, especially when it's happening so often.

Half of your post doesn't even make any sense:

"the Iraqi soldiers can do f*ck all and laugh whilst YOU lot f*ck around and blow US up."

Here is another part that sounds funny coming from Jacob:

"Honestly, the words "Stupid" and "American" are coming together with increasing speed..."

Its funny, the words "Ignorant" and "Jacob" are coming together even faster...

I think by US he is referring to the United States, but because he put the word you in caps he has confused you.

It was this part:

"Iraqi soldiers can do f*ck all and laugh"

Jacob 03-25-2003 08:52 PM

Oh no, when i said "US" i meant us, as in the English...as in, the only one's supporting you with supportingness enthusiasm...

I'm missing your point...Do you want to state the obvious or are you just being dozey?

That makes sense as well, it means Iraq can do nothing and still the US ends up with casualties (due to accidents and so forth) so they laugh at the incompetence.

Not in that layout, but I see what he was trying to say. Shit would have been a better choice...

Forbidden Paradise 03-25-2003 09:01 PM

Hmmmm I seem to have heard the term "f*ck all" used more than "shit all."

Alcar 03-26-2003 02:26 AM

Apparently an American Sergeant cracked under the pressure and threw grenades into his companies tents.

Also, apparently two British groups in tanks were firing at eachother and blew eachother up. They didn't know they were on the same side, they they both thought the other was Iraqian tanks.

Ah, good 'ol Aussies. I told you all that the Australian SAS was the elite-est! MWHAHAHAHAHAH!

But I still don't agree with war.

Anyway, some funny and TRUE scribblings I saw in the train on the way home:

Not even Rupert could convince all the people that war was good

paramiteabe 03-26-2003 10:58 AM

I think that grenade attack was a terrorist attack. There was a terrorist in our military but we got him I think. And today I heard we just killed 500 Iraqi solders and plus a major rebelion aganst Saddam is takeing place among the Iraqi people. So some of them are on our side. Those mishaps we are hearing about is pretty much nothing really new. It happens in all wars. But I really do hope this comes to an end fairly quickly. F*ck war! Ya know?

Paramiteabe...:fuzblink:

F*ck war
I've come very close, but in the end we just tossed each other off...

I think they should have just set up giant Tv screens around Iraq and put Saddams picture on with a little timer underneathe that stated;

1 second - 1 doller
2 seconds - 2 dollers
3 seconds - 3 dollers

And so on and so forth. It wouldn't take long before the Iraqi's eventually turned...

I thought the Patriots came from here? The Netherlands, I mean...

It was probably a human mistake, cuz those missiles are pretty high tech. I can know it, a relative of mine is one of the members of the Patriot section... But I don't have much contact with him, so I don't know he's sent to Iraq

Hobo 03-26-2003 06:05 PM

Nope, it's mechanical, they had these in the last gulf war and they were rubbish, (according to my father)
