Its the screen in Abe's Oddysee.

Scrab temple hub, right side, bottom row, first door saves as Scrab temple 6. It has a secret area in it.

In door 6 lower yourself down out run the scrab into the next screen were he fights a scrab and you can go on to the bell screen jump to the ledge pull yourself all the way up to the flint torch roll into a hidden screen on the left open a portal and go through to the secret area that I am stuck on.

Now in the area, abe' on a platform next to a mud' and a scrab underneith. Get the mud to follow you into the next screen (the code above is the relevant one for this screen) Tell him to wait. Go back jump down when the scrab is facing right. Run left, roll through the tunnel into the above coded screen.

Now here's the thing.

According to the walkthrough (which I only really needed to find the secret areas chuffed to say :-) I should be able to roll straight off and grab a ledge on the screen below, pull up before anouther scrab gets me. BUT no matter what I try I simpley can't cover the distance. I can only EVER get half way to the ledge, which means I plummet and die.

Does anyone else get this, can any one else help?

when you roll out of the pipe
you need to runjump and then
pull your self up before the
scrab kills you.
go all the way up and send
the muddoken to freedom.
and get the hell out of there!!

So I actually do hit the floor? I don't simple fall and automatically grab the ledge? I will try it :-)

Nope didn't work.

I roll out of the pipe and simpley splat on the floor of the screen below.

Is there a button I need to keep hold of or something?

how do you play oddworld on pc ore psone because we starded a new ga me to see what you mine and i want too make shure that where talking about the same aria when you stand near the birthportal do you see a mine floating round ore not if so the aria is ri ght en you shou ld be able to follow the instrutions

I play the pc version, with a game pad.

It sounds like the same level, very green in the back ground, two bird portal, one for mud and the one in the screen were I plummet to my squashy doom.

I would like to really thank you for all your trouble :-) This has been driving me nuts :-)

With regards to the splat thing.

If you want an example, start the begining of that level, Scrab temple 6 the one that has the secret level. You come out of the door to a ledge faceing left. In the distance is a well.

Now if you roll off that ledge (accepting that you are going to die of coarse) you will see that you travel much further than if had just walked of the ledge, try it just walking.

Now in the secret level I assum that when you roll out of the tube you would go as far as the ledge in the bottom scren in order to grab hold of it. Instead the effect is as if I had walked out of the tube and I don't travel as far.

i was wrong before i dont hid te floor when i roll out of the pipe iam hanging and all i have to do is pull myself up before the scrab catch me you must roll through the pipe and keep rolling untill you are hanging on the ps one it cant go wrong this way i write you this letter an my daughter is playing the game this very moment on psone we cant stand up we must roll good luck

it must be a bug, if so then I really can't be bothered playing as I can't find a patch anywere. Oh well.
