Are there any signs of Aquatic life on OW besides the Sea Rex?

I mean, if the planet is semi- aquatic, wouldn't there be a sort of species that lived underwater, like an aquatic race?

I know, I know. Gabbits. Worrifish. Sea-Rexes (Maybe).

But thoes are just three kinds of creatures that are at home in the water. Can't there be more?

well that are the only 3 that popped in my mind...
I can say Interns were supposed to be able to swim and move in water but I can't find anything else

Shouldn't this be in GD? All I know is that there are probabally thousands of different aquatic creatures liveing on Oddworld and we have only been introduced to three species thus far. So I am sure there are plenty more its just that we havent been introduced to them yet. Anyway this is Oddworld we are talking about here so what ever Mr. Lanning comes up with then thats what Oddworld is. So the door is open to an infanit amount of possabilities with this.:D

Yeah, they couldn't show us all the creatures of Oddworld in the first three games. Have patience.

Aquatic Oddworld Life:

Scoot (aka Worryfish), Gabbits and Sea Rexes are the only official aquatic animals.

I would assume there are lots of microorganisms in the water, and those plants in the water that you could see at the beginning of MO is aquatic plant life. Spooceshrubs grow in water. The vykker's genetically altered sewer slogs are somewhat amphibious.

Gloctigi and the octigi 0.1 might also be somewhat aquatic based on appearance. I would assume that stang are aquatic since they are described as a mix of a jellyfish and a shark.

That is all I can think of.

Yeah, we only know about a handful of aquatic species on Oddworld (Gabbits, Sea Rexes, Scoots, Stangs and Mudflubs), some being ocean-dwelling, some being freshwater, some being amphibeous. But since we haven't actually started exploring water on Oddworld, I'd say we've no reason to have seen that many water-dwelling creatures. MO ended near a river (according to the fabulous Oddworld Map), and those baby Gabbits have to hatch and live somewhere, and I'm sure we're all hankering for Munch-oriented gameplay in OW4 (following the Abe-lead action in MO).

What's more, the monkey/horse-centaur wants to get stuff across the river, right? :P

My guess is that Oddworld's underwater flaura and fauna is just as many times more diverse than ours as Oddworld's land-lubbing critters are. Urg, hope you don't get as confused with that as I did. :fuzconf: Bah!

Oh yeah. Mudflubs. How could I forget those little guys. I hope they are as funny looking as I imagine they will be.

Dipstikk 03-12-2003 09:11 PM

Forgive my ignorance, but what's a Mudflub?

TheKhanzumer 03-12-2003 09:21 PM

Flubs

Mudflubs are small river dwelling creatures that Flub Fuels squeezes oil out of, which the factory uses to make their fuel. We don't know much else about them, but I assume they look pathetic.
