Abe Babe and myself were talking over the phone a few days ago, and one subject that we spoke about was the Spoiler Forum.

At present it is becoming out dated, as most people wanting to go into General Discussion have Munch's Oddysee. One other thing we talked about was that topics springing up in the Spoiler Forum really should be discussed in General Discussion, this however is no ones fault and we aren't placing the blame on anybody :p

We suggested that maybe it should be closed and kept as an archive until OW4 is released. Then it could be reopened as a Spoiler Forum for OW4.

I don't really think there will be much objection, but I thought we'd pass it through you for any comments/queries/complaints.

Yea I think it is time we should close it temperarly of course. You got my vote. Your right It has become outdated.

I am cerous though what happened to Pilot I thought he was running or Moderating the Spoiler section? Did he just decide not to do it anymore because he is really busy or something? I don't know I remember seeing his name there as one of the Mods for the Spoiler section along with you Alcar.

He asked Abe Babe to remove him from being a Super Mod because he didn't have the time to moderate any more. I was appointed the Spoiler Forum Moderatorship when Pilot was taken from the position.

I was also thinking about those ones in the Spoiler that are GD, like that Meech one.

Yea those are my threads but the reason I started those threads in Spoiler was because there was a very minor spoiler that I thought was in there at the time I wrote them. It was about the plateau and the Meeches that I thought at the time I wrote them was a sort of spoiler. Now its just a theory discussion basically. So move them by all means. Still I am extremely surprise on how long those threads lasted. I mean its been well before last Christmas when I posted those. I am very surprised they lasted this long. They are so old I don't even remember when I started them.

Seems like a good idea to me. Most people have MO anyway now and those that don't have it don't care about it being spoilt for them. (If they wanted it that badly they would have got it.)

Open it around the time OW4 comes out...

Don't close the spoiler forum, just change the description to something about the "latest" oddworld game. That way, no matter when, it can be used to post info about the newest game like it was used when MO came out.

Well, the latest game is MO. What we were proposing is that when the next game comes out, we would reopen it.

It wouldn't be closed forever :fuzzle:

I agree with Khanz. That way, we don't have to close it or anything. And its not doing any harm whilst open, is it?

It's more that it's pretty much an unused forum now days and has served it's purpose until the next game.

One thought I originally came up with is that it could be a forum for any game spoilers (including the Abe games), but the problems with this is that it is difficult to determine which topics are of this nature, and also some topics can turn into spoiler topics even though they are not.

I meant that the description of the forum should be changed so that it could be used for spoilers for any games that have recently been released. It seems like a hassle to open and close it, like Majic said, and with the exception of Facsimile's parents it hasn't hurt anyone being open.

Well, as Abe Babe said it's very hard to determine what topics could be spoilers. Because essentially, ALL Oddworld topics in GD are spoilers to anyone that hasn't played the games.

Well, it seems no one has recently replied.

As I previously stated, General Discussion is one big Spoiler Forum for anyone that hasn't played the games. The Spoiler Forums when it was opened was for spoilers relating mainly the Munch's Oddysee. Munch's Oddysee is well over, and closing it isn't a hassle at all.

Those threads Paramiteabe i'll move over to General Discussion, just for you :p The Spoiler Forum will be opened up for OW4, where spoilers relating to OW4 will go in there.

However, if people do still have something to say about, then say it. It isn't permanently closed at all, and I'm open to constructive critisism.

One point to make though, is that the threads in the Spoiler Forum won't be moved over to General Discussion. It'll be there as an archive, and the point/question I'm making/asking is whether you think when the Spoiler Forum is reopened for OW4, should all the MO threads in the Spoiler Forum be moved to General Discussion? Or should they be left?
