The War of the Pantheon RPS Sign-Ups
This is an RPG that is out of place of all the other ones. You can be in Paramiteabe's RPG and Two's a Company but Three's a Crowd, and still do this, with an old or new character.
This is a taste of how real RPGs are played, not just as RPSs. You ready? Ok, Sign-Up here! First, the story. *** Mudos is in trouble. Far from the adventures of Abe and Munch there is a land much more north. Industrials have began their building in this Mudos Province known as Nev'Sai. The building of the Glukkon City known as Bemerdril has begun, and the industrials are beginning to clear forests and drain lakes. They wish to take the land as their own. Meanwhile, the wandering Mudokon Tribe known as the Mudarlum, which can be translated to The Red Glove in Mudokon, has found a place to found their empire in the beautiful Arcadia Lowlands. They know nothing of the Industrials and Bemerdril City. The Mudarlum however, are in war with a tribe of Native Sligs called the Clan of the Fist. The Sligs know nothing of the Industrials either, but they are bent on the destruction of the Mudarlum and the taking of the Arcadia Lowlands. The Mudarlum are building up their forces, never before did they need weapons, so they are making new ones. Not the Tomahawk or the SpooceBow, but new weapons made of blue Arcadian Gemstone and Lowland Darkwood. The Shamans train their spells and gather their spooce, the Warriors ready their newfound weapons and armor, and the Blacksmiths smash newfound metals into their blades. The Clan of the Fist are readying as well for battle. As Native Sligs, they have no mechanical pants or sight enhancer from the industrials, they rely on their future-seeing spells to see, and as for movement, they have enslaved a race of Kintos from the mountain known as Giant Plum Peak. Riding upon the Kintos with their magic to guide them, they too ready for the invasion of the Arcadian Lowlands. From the depths of Placid Moon Forest the blood-warrior Gulchie Tribe known as the Rij'mein, translated to the Zealots of the Glowing Gem, prepare for a holy war against a strange race that has arrived upon the shores of Nev'Sai, calling themselves the Dyrjuurs. The Dyrjuurs have rarely been seen, even by their Gulchie enemies. No one can tell what they look like, accept that they live in large towers that they seemed to have built over night, and that they are enslaving a wild Paramite Herd as food and as allies against these holy warriors that have engaged them in guerilla combat. The Rij'mein too, prepare for war. Their high forest temples have been prepared with sacrifices, and their gods are pleased with them. They repeat their blood oaths against the Dyrjuurs and ready their silkstrings and battle-axes against them. The Gods of Oddworld have prepared for this day, years ago, they saw that this war, the War of the Pantheon, would happen. And so, they chose a few souls to go down to Oddworld and prevent the destruction of Nev'Sai. You are one of these souls, the war is begginning, and so is your journey. *** Name: Race: Age: Gender: Occupation: (Doesn't have to be a warrior, you don't even know that you are supposed to stop the war! Darkest, why do you have to down us?
We play our RPG's just fine. You don't have to say things like "This is how a REAL RPG is played...." Please stop making it seem like u think u know better than all of us. Thank you. Mini Mod --FireFrog |
Amen to that Froggie!!!
|
:
I'm not saying I'm better than you. YOU play Role Playing Stories. THIS is a Role Playing Game, a REAL Role Playing Game. I never said that this was how real Role Playing STORIES were played. Get it? I never accused you of everything? I never said I was better than you. Sorry for the confusion! :) |
Here is his...
Darkest's RPG Forum
Just see how he does it, everybody loves him over there. He knows no other way. He pleads ignorance! Cya |
More specifically, here .
This is how we do RPGs, and you'll find that it is much different than a Role Playing Story. Ignorance... pah! I am a writer as I am a roleplayer, I can play the Role Playing Stories of the Oddworld Forums. You've seen me, and I can. I plead intelligence! |
Well thank you for the apology Darkest. I completely understand. I'm a writer and a RPGer too. I knew these weren't regular RPGs, its just the way you typed did make it sound like you were some kind of braggy show off or something (no offense). I'm sorry if I sounded like a jerky gal or somthin', just speaking my mind is all. So friends from here on out right?? :fuzblink:
|
Yes, we're all friends here, in the Forum, that's what a Forum is about. Even FireFrog and I are friends, even though we have completely different views and opinions.
|
Yeah... friends...
Nah, joke. Of course we are... We just have VERY different opinions. |
Yeah, its kind of funny, you guys have probably never played an actual stat rpg, and you think its complicated. Haha! Man, you haven't ever played with stats and numbers, so how do you know its fun or not fun? You don't know... so why don't we just try it out?
Here's my deal, you join up in my RPG, and we'll play with numbers and stats. See how you like it and if you like it, then we'll change the forums so it is mathematical. Deal? Deal. |
I've played a few of them and they're great, just not on the internet. That's my opinion
|
I know you haven't on the internet. If you'll let me show you, it'll be another world of fun.
|
No thanx...
Numbers aint my bag baby! |
I swear that you will need to do NO NUMBERS in this mathematical RPG. You haven't even played a Numbered RPG! In a Numbered RPG, you don't do the numbers yourself, rather its the same as an RPS accept that I have a number of mathematics that hold it up like a skeleton.
Whatever, I'm discontinuing this RPG. |
