oddworld: Abe's oddysey
Is is possible to get through the game with all of the mudokons? I have been playing now for a few days. I escaped Rupture Farms, but cannot get mudokons 4 and 5 out because it is impossible to get out of the secret area afterward.
The secret area is 5 screens in from the begining. There are 3 platforms with 2 bombpits between them below. You have to explode the bombs and climb behind the barrel in the second pit and it drops you into a room with 2 mudokons and a meat grinder. You go down once more and find another meat grinder and a lever and a bird ring portal. I can get Mudokon 4 and 5 through the portal, but not me. I chant to no avail, the protal closes as soon as I stop chanting. I can't climb out of the secret area because the top platform is spaced directly above a gap in the lower platform. I have tried jumping and running jumps. I tried riding on top of the grinder and leaping over to the top platform. (that smarts!) How can I get out of here? I have looked in all the cheats, and walkthroughs I can find. I have been to Oddchat, Oddworld help, and all around. Nobody seems to know. Maybe some of you who've played the game and are now Oddworld pro's can give me a heads-up. :fuzblink: |
Could you please go into the screen(s) you are having trouble on, and press start. Then I'm pretty sure with Abe's Oddysee that the number/letters is either on the top right hand side, or on the bottom. However, please post this number/letter combination, as it tells us where exactly you are.
I know where you are, and to get out of that area you have to hoist up both screens to get to the grenade pit. But the number/letter combination will just justify that you are where I think you are. Alcar... |
Stuck in Oddworld
That's a great idea only I can't push "start" there isn't one. Wait did I mention that I am playing this game on a computer.
What I did was I counted the screens from the begining of the game to the one where the secret area is at. It's screen 5. Let me do some searching and see if I can find a picture of the area I'm in. :rolleyes: Thanks for trying to help. :fuzsmile: |

I remember this part of the game...
DON'T try to get through the bird portal. You need to (after saving the mudokins) go back to the start of the secret area. Somewhere you should see gravel falling down? If you can see it, go underneath it and press up. This will hoist you up and back to the mine pit. |
Do what firefrog said. In the second screen of the secret area, go to the edge on the right of the meat saw. There should be debris falling down. Hoist there and you'll come back up to the first screen (where the bird portal that gets you out is). If you can't hoist, then it's probably bug or something.

well first rescue the muds with out geeting them killed wen your down the bottom pull the lever and return to the top screem u stand in front off the meat saw and run and jump u will be hanging on the leage press and walk along and press up were those bits a falling and there your out |
