Does anybody know what the Vykkers past was like?
We already know the Glukkens past. What about the Vykkers? Were they once a spirtual race before they became what we no of them now? Did the wheels of fate change for them too? or did they just followed the Glukkens footsteps? I was woundering what Vykkers were before Vykkers Labs. I think that would neat to know.

Oho, good question... noboy know, they maybe come from an other continent... and come to ewperiment others creatures... maybe
|
That can be a logical explanation. They don't look like anything of Mudos! Heres a thought Lanning said that oddworld is so big that other races may seem to be like complete alein to each other. Like if one continent invented fire the other would be far more higher in the evelutionary line. it's seems that vykkers are a little more advance than Glukkens. I think we will know there past in M.E.

Along the lines of paramiteabe's many queries concerning Oddworld, is there a single source for the Oddworld history/back story? Xavier, I have seen your posts of pieces of Oddworld history, but you've said that these are from your archives and I take it they are not on a single site anymore. Oddworldian and OWI have lots of great info on individual creatures/locations, but I haven't noticed a cohesive description of the Oddworld Universe.

It's the only text of my achives that is about the Oddworld History... sory, I have a lot other text but they aren't about the history...
But if someone can have informations it would be great |
Besides maybe how the Gluk's came to be in their positions and the spiritual heritage of the Muds, I am not all that interested in the history of Oddworld unless it becomes relevant to the other main stories...

I hope there will come a Oddworld History book coherant with the quintology and the others games and all the créatures on Oddworld !

Glukkons hate Mudokons because the Mudokons proved that they were the chosen race. Maybe Vykkers hate Fuzzles for a similar reason.

We might have to wait a while for something like that, though.

Yes, I imagine there's enough material to write an entire book, which would be a big project. Myst was the first real multimedia game I played, and I absolutely loved it, particularly the soundtrack. There were a number of books written along the lines of the story in the game and sequel. I only read the first, The Book of Atrus, but I really enjoyed it. It focused on the time before the game's story line, but also gave some background for the sequel. It helped in understanding the Myst universe, and the idea of being able to travel to a different place through a book, which was kind of baffling just playing the game. I'd love to read an Oddworld book that tied everything together.
