hey before the glukkons became commercical were they aboreal or aquatic or what. what do you guys think.

Glukons are land bassed animals alot like Mudukons. They probly were fast runners (indercated by there long legs) and might have had a kicking defence. They also probly lived in dark forests(dark skin for camoflarge). They might have had other tellents to like digging and jumpping and swingging from trees.

In the last movie of Abe's Oddysey, when Molluck gets his cloths....ermmm "off", you can perfectly see two little arms, as little as T-rex's. Maybe they don't use them anymore so they became little, but in older times they could have looked like monkeys :p

Those aren't arms, those are his legs. Glukkons have very overdeveloped arms but tiny legs.

There's something (on Oddworldian I think) that mentions that Glukkons were native way back in the past. Their religon was based around the Moon... but when the Mudokons started claiming the moon as their own they changed their ways... many forcing themselves inside and turning to alchemy and the like. Until they became the industrial species we see today.

Would Glukkons also have (underdevelopped) spiritual powers? Maybe they were more like the Muds in the older days. But since they are dumber then Muds or Gabbits they needed somebody else to keep them alive and surviving: that's were the Vykkers come into play. Individually they are nothing, but with their strengts combined they can dominate the Muds. (Untill Abe came along that is) :confused:

at first they were spiritual, and lived in harmony with the mudokons. then the mudokons claimed that they were the 'chosen people', because their handprint was on the moon.

so the glukkons got upset, and kind of sold their souls to the vykkers. the vykkers changed the glukkons hands, so that they also fitted the moon, and gave them new technologies to dominate the mudokons. i think that the vykkers wanted one race to be dominant, so that they wouldn't have to do their dealing with different races.

i think their ancestors were aquatic [see Octigi pic], but they lived on land for millions of years as natives before they industrialised.

i dont know about the whole seeling their souls to the vykkers that would emply that the glukkons were not the first industrial race adn i allways thought they were.

No, Glukkons had their own age of alchemy where they did all the experiments to try and change their hands. Instead they created the twisted bodies of today which they have the misfortune to inhabit. Fianlly they banned religion and set up their own Magog Cartel to
a) produce good-quality products for the customers (Khanzumerz), and
b) to give the Mudokons (who are now all jobless, since religion was banned) jobs.

But then with every generation, they slipped down the ladder just that bit further (kind of like the comercialisation of Christmas, Easter - even St. George's Day)!

i've heard about khanzumerz before, but never knew anything about them. are they a separate species, or just glukkon jargon?

Khanzumerzs can be one of more species of oddworld, that live in huge cities, with hundred os thousand, maybe million habitants. these huge cities actually rule Oddworld. glukkons are a kind of crimminal class that makes profit by enslaving native people and exploring wild nature.

Glukkons are powerful because they have all that technology provided by the Vikkers, and a great army of loyal sligs to defend them.

The funny thing is, although Glukkons can't fit their hands to Mudokon's Moon, it was really very easy to chop off a pinky finger of the mudokon paw printed on their moon, in the mean time between Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus.
I guess I happened in a kind of planetary ceremony where all the shamans and spritual mudokons of the entire Oddworld planet concentrated themselves and sent a huge lightning bolt toward the moon, burying that fourth finger for ever...

I always thought "Khanzumerzs" meant "Consumers". ie - The people who support OWI by buying their games, us.

mudokons lost their extra finger in ae because of something in japan th emade oddworld cut it off. ask alf for all the details it is archived in one of his dearalfs.

Glukkon jargon? Hello? Hate to be annoying, but:

A jargon is a hyphonated compound adjective, such as supply-led homeless.

if the Khanzumerzs are not like glukkons, could it be that glukkons themselves don't eat their own products? maybe they make products for other species, and they live just smoking. I mean, i've never seen a glukkon eating or worring about the flavour of their products

Those big things the glukkons walk on are there "arms" they are not legs. There legs have become "useless" over the cource of evolution.

Godd: what about the Brewmaster?

I think the Khanzumers are a different species. I imagine them as fat, lazy, apathetic, gullible slobs representing everything OWI hates about the modern consumer. They see advertisements and believe every word. They buy and buy and buy without any thought for the environment or the workers who actually manufacture the products (like the fat guy wearing Nike shoes at McDonalds). It sounds to me like another part of OWI's crusade against the modern stupid American, so it should be great to see what they come up with.

I just want to know how Khanzumers are abill to pay for all the products? I mean they would have to work... so they could not be lazzy... But that would not be like OWI.

So maybe Khanzumers are abill to produce somthink without doing anythink... like there body waste or something is a food sorce?...

i also think the Ks are another satire as almost everything in Oddworld and can't wait to meet them, they should be intresting, uh?

oddguy: body waste?? so gross! and yet, so OWI ;) i think they might be the owners of machines that work for them or something

Although if you do bump up another thread older than a month, I will have no problem giving you an infraction.

I think the Khanzumers are just an excuse for who the products are sold to, and they have no character.
Also I think gluks did evolve from an octopus like creature. Because their arms are long and dangly like tentacles.
