Big Bros took away a bit of the originality...
 

One of the things I liked about AO was that the enemies weren't tall, muscular and deep-voiced (for you slow peopleout there, I'm talking about sligs). They slacked off, took naps while on guard, and smoked cigars. Heck, they didn't even have legs. In other words, they were regular shmoes.

This also applied to Abe (the shmo part), and still does (although not as much as in AO). I appreciated how both the hero and the bad guys weren't the stereotypical type that are used in almost every game out there. Now Abe still has it, but the sligs don't have it as much now that OWI has introduced Big Bros. They're like all those other enemies. Crap. I liked it better with only the original sligs, not the big bros.

What's your opinion on the Big Bros? Do you think they were actually needed, or do you think they should have stayed with the small, wimpy jerks who compensate by acting tough and beating muds...?

I agree thats another thing which made oddworld rather interesting. I also balieve MO was originally planned to be like the other two but when it changed and all the cool things were taken out thats when we got the typical bad guy good guy rutine going on. But I do balieve were in for a big surprise with OW4.

I don't think they BigBro Sligs make the games any less original. Big Bro Sligs were a great addition to the Oddworld games but I hope they don't overdue it. What I mean is that I hope we don't start seeing Big Bro Interns and Big Bro Slogs and Big Bro Thises and Big Bro Thats.

Yeah, I still enjoy the games and all, but it's just that BigBros seemed like one teeny little step closer to mainstream games. I just think there should be very few BigBro Sligs if any, and they should be war generals or something.

I like the big bro's but i personally think you cant beat a regular slig!

I agree with Mac, MO was a good game and It would be better if they had the origanal sligs but it was still good to see some change.

They kind've already done the Big Bro Slogs, remember in the Meep level. What was the deal with the big ones anyway?

I think the Big Bros are okay, i didnt even notice that the big bros were taking over the smaller sligs! there are HEAPS of smaller sligs, so i dont really care :P

true there were some big big slogs... but they are normal slogs... only a bit bigger, probably they snuffed in the sligs stereoids...

those sligs shouldnt leave them around!
