Loyalty

MO wasnt that bad, not as good as the first two though, but if the OWI standards continue to drop, will you still stay with them?

I go with yes because I was there from right from AO.

lindsey 12-02-2002 12:44 AM

me to
I will stay with them

paramiteabe 12-02-2002 01:08 AM

I vote yes because OWI will not go down the tubes. There are hints everywhere. We balieve this next game thats comming out is going to be one intresting game. I read an artical a couple months ago about the technology of the next game. and Lanning said that the next game would feel as if you were in a movie let alone a game. That is indeed intresting.

It was one of the interviews with Lorn Lanning. But I forget which one it was. But that was the only info on the game everything has been in top secret which could mean its something amazeing.

But yea I vote yes. I was with OWI from the beginning and I will stay odd to the end. I have a lot of good expectations for them.

Majic 12-02-2002 01:38 AM

I won't really get involved in the game if its poor. I'll continue in theory topics and such, but I don't see the point in staying completely loyal to games where standards are conistently dropping.

Xavier 12-02-2002 03:02 AM

I voted yes cause I'm convinced that the next game will be huge!
and even if the games can be less good at some moment, the universe is still there and that is really what I like the most

BigBro 12-02-2002 06:30 AM

The reason I got hooked into The Oddoworld Quintology was because it was different and seemed interesting. The games just got better which made them even more interesting. AO to AE; better graphics, more added extras. From AE to MO; console switch, WAY better graphics. And the we'll have MO to OW4; potential to be better than all the rest. I mean, theyve been keeping us in the dark long enough and risked losing fans (due to bordemn), so they must have something thats worth it. I havent voted yet, but Im gonna vote 'Yes'.

Joshy 12-02-2002 06:35 AM

Yes, if the next oddworld game is good.

oko 12-02-2002 04:26 PM

M.O.M 12-02-2002 05:49 PM

I havent gone for gameplay, i personally have gone the story, gameplay is a added bonus

Facsimile 12-03-2002 08:28 PM

But without the games, would the Oddworld universe even exist?

yes it would but in a different way...

M.O.M 12-04-2002 02:22 PM

Oddworld universe wouldnt sound as good without the games, they connect you to Oddworld

Xavier 12-04-2002 03:06 PM

of cource the games are an important part!
but oddworld would survive without them... (image the films)

dripik 12-04-2002 04:25 PM

Well, I haven't got an Xbox, but I get much information about them as fast as I can. And on a day in the future, MO and the other games are going to be released to PC.

Xavier, you wrote Oddworld with a small O! Awful! Hmph!... Sorry, just a joke.

oko 12-22-2002 06:19 AM

oddworld would not be the same whitout the game's,but
oddworld would not be the same whitout the storyline

so true... I think you are right

Alcar 12-22-2002 06:48 AM

Of course I would.

But I have faith in Lorne that he'll have the next Oddworld game up to Oddworld's fantastic standards.

Alcar...

I love oddworld i know alot about it, but no as much as xaviar but I think I am pretty involved. I would stay with them but I believe once the last game comes out I will be a little to old for it, but you never know. I am a geek, I will probably stay with Abe and his Buds.

Jacob 12-25-2002 08:50 PM

:

I am a geek,
*Tuts* Your not a Geek...Geeks have friends.

I would leave them, i would still do my fics however...cos they're not exactly Oddworldish...just based on OW etc.

The Shrykull 01-09-2003 03:14 PM

I'd stick with em'!

I've been with Oddworld from AO and don't intend stopping now!
I may not have an X-Box but i'll either emulate or wait till it's on P.C!

P.S: My friends say MO is availible for PS2, is this correct or am I being tricked?:fuzconf:

you were tricked :fuzzle:

Q: Will Munch's Oddysee be on the PS2?

A: No. Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is an exclusive Xbox title.

Q: Will Munch be released for the PC?

A:There are no plans to release Munch's Oddysee for the PC.
We are focusing our energy on creating the next title for the Xbox exclusively.

Q: Why cancel the PS2 version completely?

A: What really tipped the scales, is we're not developing the ALIVE 2ยช engine just to run Munch but the next in the series of Oddworld games and we had to make a major technology and design decision for the franchise and our company. The reality is, making great games takes a lot of time and the investment and commitment of teams of talented people dedicated to a common vision. We felt the we were fighting an uphill battle that was compromising and would continue to compromise our vision for where Oddworld was to go in the 128bit era. With Xbox our vision would not only stay in tact but instead of focusing our people to tackle constant technology issues we could dedicate our resources to making better gaming experiences. After the trials and tribulations of working on Munch for the last 18 months, the decision, at the end of the day, wasn't a difficult one. To make the game and the foreseeable future games we want to make, Xbox is the right home for Oddworld.

Canned Gabbiar 01-09-2003 11:27 PM

I'll always stay!!

Of course I'll stay with Oddworld Inhabitants! They even sent us christmas cards! (even though I didn't sign up for the fan club early enough to get one... sniff:fuzsad:)

Anyway, I do think that Munch's Oddysee was quite a bit easier than Abe's Oddysee. But the standards didn't really drop. It was still just as entertaining as the first two.

But anyway, it's natural that the difficulty dropped a bit. Since the Xbox has better graphics capabilities, Oddworld Inhabitants probably just got carried away with the graphics. Like when I get a new game, I get carried away with it and stop playing my other games. If the standards do drop, they'll come around and lift it. I have complete faith in OWI!
