Thought this looked cool...
If this belongs in off topics- maybe admin can move it but...
This pic reminded me of something: look familiar? |
scary....they look like mudokon heads...
|
Haha! Oh my, this is uncanny. The ressemblance is astounding. Actually, they look a lot like Mudokon skulls found in Necrum, too. They're the right colour.
I'm going to post it on my site's news, I think they're very cute. ![]() |
oh my odd....were they real animals or what?!
i would like to see one alive. |
He he, I do believe they found them in Necrum...
|
i should get one of them and hang it up on my wall :)
|
Apparently, they are 'Seed capsules of snapdragons' but who's going to belive a story like that.
|
I believe the story. In fact, I have several Snapdragons living in my garden - I'm serious!
It just struck me that the name Snapdragon might conjure up images of small lizard-like creatures who breathe fire. But a Snapdragon is a plant that has flowers ressembling a dragon's head. If you squeeze the flower at certain parts, it opens up like a dragon's mouth. |
post a news about...
Very strange history... hmmmmmmmmmmm |
That's just plain weird!
I believe it, though. There have been several recorded cases of natural objects looking like something else. The Natural History Museum in London has a stone that looks like a duck, for example. And does anyone remember that bun that looked like Mother Teresa? It caused a minor, though amusing, stir at the time. |
There are several other pics in the Fortean Times simulacra category...Stone formations that look like faces...or a knot of branches that look like an animal or so on...
Click on Gallery on the left and check out Simulacra corner...lot of fun. [ November 28, 2001: Message edited by: Niteowl ] |
Whoa, they look just like mudokon heads. I can imagine the saying, "Abe, you gotta help us!" "The glukkons are digging up our bones!"...
|
lol :D you are funny Oddite4456!

*hides from the scary little one in the middle*
You know, my parents always have these plants in their garden, and although the flowers fascinated me (I used to make dragon "puppets" out of them when I was very little) I never once noticed what the seed cases looked like... Scary! |
