XBox Live payment

I wanna know if there is another way for paying for XBL than credit card/debit card. Cuz I ain't 18 yet, and my folks don't have a credit card. And what the hell is a debit card anywayz??

Today, I've read in Xgamer that Microsoft mentioned pre-payed cards? has any-one more info about that?

Besides, I don't think that Microsoft should only stick to credit card/ debit card, cuz every-1 who doesn't have those things, aren't able to use Xbox Live.

About the Starter kit, is a 1-year-subscription includes? so you buy the kit and you won't have to pay money for the subscription to the service? I mean, you pay for the disc, communicator AND a 1-year-membership, so without a creditcard/ debit card???

please help!

when you buy the kit you have 1 year subscription... the only thing you have to pay is the internet connexion

In the Uk, for £39.99 you get a year's subscription, smaller versions (not demos) of MotoGP Online and Whacked! and the XBox voice communicator. Unfortuanatley, Microsoft are accepting only credit/debit card. I don't know what a debit card is, I'm afraid :(

I don't think you actually need to be 18 to get a credit card anyway. Why not pay a visit to your bank and ask?

Remember, you will have to pay for the monthly fees that come with broadband. If you don't already have it, make sure you get as good a deal as possible and it is recommended to have a 500kb/sec tansfer rate or higher (256kb/sec being the minimum for XBox Live). Microsoft are doing deals to bring down the prices of broadband.

[EDIT] Oh yeah, and you'll probbaly need your credit card for when the year's subscription is up and you pay for the next year. And some games (only some, not all) provide downloadable content in exchange for moolah. The credit card would probably be used for this. Most games like Mech Assault and Splinter Cell shouldn't cost anything for downloadable content though.[/EDIT]

Debit card is like a switch or solo or delta card.
kind of like an electronic cheque book.
1 card does it all - credit/debit/cash machine etc.

When you say that when you buy the kit you get a year free, do you mean literally that?
does this come when you register your xbox?

Well, not many have a Xbox for a starter. And not that many don't have a credit card. So it's not the biggest loss for microsoft.

No offence, i'm just crittic against Xbox. Nothin persenal.
