First Game Console
My first game console was Super Nintendo. I was about five when I got it. Ten years later I despise Nintendo. Anyways, what was your first game console?

My first system was a Nintendo, I got Super Mario/Duck Hunt with it. Ahhh, those were the days. *reminisces*
|
Sega Saturn.

My parents have despised gaming consoles forever, and refused to buy me one :(... But this year I saved up to buy an Xbox!! And it turns out that they now love playing it with me and my sister :).
So my first console was/is the Xbox :) ~Miss Odd Serenity |
My very first game consol I ever had well that would have to be the Atari 2600.
followed by Nintendo for the longest time and then Super Nintento for just as long. Then one year I got a Sega but I hated it so I sold it. As few more years past I got myself the PlayStation when it first came out. Now I have PS2 and an X-Box. I still have my Atari for I will never get rid of that. That was one of the first consols ever made. I am planning on getting myself a Game Cube soon. Ill ask for it for Christmas. But that is my history with consols. Oh I fogot I have Gameboy as well. |

Atari, had a cartridge with lotsa games on it.
Runner up is the NES, with 8 games... SMB 2 SMB 3 Captain Skyhawk Top Gun Tom and Jerry Kirby's Adventures Kabuki, Quantum Fighter A game about some kid called Nemo |
Nes. With Mario/Duckhunt. And the Legend of Zelda.
A brief history of my consoles I have. Then we had gotten supernintendo. And eventually sold the original Nintendo. Then my brothers chipped in together(not including me at the time) and bought PSX when it first came out. Eventually after three years the system burned out so My oldest brother bought a new one and we gave our super nintendo with all its games to my cousin. Then my brother who is a year older than me, we chipped in together and bought an N64. When PS2 came out my brother who is a year older than he bought that with his own money, and owns it to date. Eventually I preordered xbox, with Munch's Oddysee, Halo, and one other game, with two controllers, dvd remote, memory card, a carrying case, and a five year waranty. On nov. 15th last year, I came home and I owned for the first a time a system that was my own. So now to date, the systems we have are as follows: My oldest brother(who now is in college) He owns the original PSX not PS1 My other brother owns PS2, and still half of N64 with me. And I own Xbox, and half of N64. This does not count any handhelds we have though. So right now Im still debating whether to by gamecube or wait until I get some extra money for my birthday or such. So Ill just have to wait and see what happens. -Al the Vykker |

Nintendo 8-bit. We had Super Mario Bros, Mega Man, a weird game about a boat and Zelda. I liked Zelda. Unfortunately, a dog ate it. And a game about a man with a hat that hit other men. Without hats. And Top Gun.

Xbox, never got one before

Hmmm. I did own an Amstrad ages ago along with the fantastic Sorcery and other games (Pong too), but thats a computer for games. Kind of like an Amiga (although they did have an OS), which was my next computer after my Amstrad broke (an AMiga 1200). I loved my Amiga and it's fantastic games! The Alien Breed series rocked and James Pond was just so legendary (far better than the console versions). Gravity Power was another fab games. I remember going into game stores and there were Amiga games everywhere! It's almost impossible to find them anywhere now. Alas, I know longer have my Amiga. but it isn't too far away, my nephew has it! But alot of the games ofr it no longer work :(
So my first console was a playstation, I played on my Amiga and PC (old PC of course) up until then. Then I carried on with my PC :p Playstations were good, but nothing fantastic. The sequel console was actually worse... only a few games grab my interest opposed to over 50 games on the Xbox and coutning. Way too hyped up. Anyway, my playstation was my first proper console then. But now I have a PSOne (my PSX broke and replaced it for the newer, smaller version), N64, Dreamcast and Xbox. I had the choice of a PS2 or Xbox. The choice certainly wasn't hard for me, as the only games I thought were good on the PS2 were Devil May Cry and MGS2. Now MGS2 is arriving on Xbox in the form of Substance. I hated GTA 3 and Vice City is even worse! I'm not just saying this because I don't have a PS2... I play on my friends PS2s, and there are good games. But just about all of those good games are on Xbox too. My next console would probably be an Xbox 2. I'll see what a PS3 will be like, but I'm not expecting much. I am considering to get a Game Cube though, just for the Resident Evil series really and the console does look like it's getting some more mature, better games. Metroid Prime looks good. It got excellent reviews, and the odd couple are saying it's better than Halo, but I very much doubt it. If I do get a GameCube, I will get Mentroid Prime to see what it's like. But going off what I've seen so far (which is alot), it is actually a very different game with some crappy ball morphing thing tah tI don't like the looks of. It also lacks vehicles and multiplayer too. Even if I were to get a GameCube, I can see myself playing my Xbox more. The vision of it is clear actually :) |

Nintendo.
But we did have a Commodore 64, which used cartridges. But that doesn't count because it's not a console. |

I wouldn't consider a computer a game console.
