Oddworld Awards: Date, time and website address!
Yep that's right the date is the 9th November 2001 at 11am (Australian Time).

Yes, i know Oddchat isn't working. I tried to get on it today.
Hopefully it is Abe Babe or Sydney fixing it or something. Yes please post your site, it doesn't matter if it isn't finished. If i am correct you are the one with the oddworld pictures site. If you join and quickly add a few pictures to your site then maybe you get win the pictures/ graphics award. You never know what people will do... |

I think you need to seriously go over what you have planned. You need to develop a better and voting and application system.
For one, it's not a good idea to collect all votes in the span of three and a half hours. It's just too litle time. The first Annual Oddworld Awards that were hosted by Sistasouljah were perfect. There were at least several days of voting. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to make themselves available within such a small time-frame, and I can't really see the point in using OddChat when you can just announce the winners here at the forums. I'm happy to place a notice on my website when you make it clear how somebody with an Oddworld website can apply. For example, do we need to post a news item that includes an email address to send your site's name and address? Or is it only available to members of Oddworld Forums, in which case posting the news seems redundant. These are just my suggestions/questions, I'm not trying to pull you down. |
No problem Sydney, now that i think about it i do guess that i rushed in on trying to decide the dates.
Actually having read your post i am changing some things (thankyou Sydney for showing me the light), they are: The date for the awards is now- 12:00pm 9th December 2001 to 12:00pm 16th December 2001. The winners will be announced on 3 main places all at once at 12:30pm, 16th December. The 3 main places are Oddchat, Oddworld Forums and OWU News (Oddworld Universes News Section). For people to enter their site in for the running they must have an email sent to me with the following details- -Their Name -Their Main Email -Their Website Name -Their Website Address Thanks Sydney, yes a section telling everyone about the awards would be a great help. The awards still need more people to join the websites. It would be appreciated if all the people who have already joined their website to send me an email including the things i stated above. Thankyou, if there is anymore suggestions please feel free to post them here. This means other sites who are not part of the oddworld forums will be able to join.
